- After 12 years a friend calls asked if I would take her on a day's fishing trip out of Wyndham after she has just ridden a bicycle 660km on the Gib River Road for a fundraiser Kyle Andrews foundation. WOW We head out and catch some Barramundi and then a bull shark bites one in half. Come a long and see what happens .

The bull sharks aren't endangered they are flourishing particularly in Queensland. I have seen barra smashed as soon as they are hooked in some cases. The reef fish the same treatment. It was great to see you two having some barra fun and saltwater barra always the best.

The number are definitely climbing, I’ve seen what’s happening over Queensland their off tap there crazy. Was a good day catching up with a old mate but her husband a good mate of mine was jealous and said it’s his turn now lol

On the east coast here. In some places we can’t get a Barra to the boat. Because of the bull sharks. So sad to see meterys just taken by sharks… on the sounder we can see the packs of sharks swimming around the Barra schools, but yeh, apparently we have no shark issues lol
I’ve seen a few videos over your way, crazy how many sharks around there. Definitely find bigger the wet more bull sharks move in as everything is spawning and getting a good flush out. Nothing worse seeing a good fish get taken.

Just curious would you keep and eat the rest of the fish the Bull Shark killed?
Seems like the best part of the meat is still untouched.
Unfortunately in W.A with the size of the Barra rules and when we caught the Barra being over 80cm is against the law to keep the fish regardless. In one of my comments where I say the Barra didn’t go to waste I meant the sharks and other fish extra would feed in it. To me it’s crazy but it’s the rules in W.A.
