Awesome module! I was really into video synthesis a while back but felt very limited by not having a eurorack system. I've finally been starting to build eurorack system and I'm really into the all-in-one nature of your module. Hope to see it back in stock sometime in the future, I'd definitely purchase a kit.
Awesome work! I'll have to study the schematics to see if I can learn a thing or two from it, though I guess a lot of it is handled by the PIC. Also you probably know this but it says that "This item is sold out" in the Etsy shop.
The universe aligned and I was finally able to get my hands on one. It does not disappoint and the amount of shapes and colors this thing is able to produce is mind bending. I might have even seen some squant in there. The kit is also clearly designed and packaged in a way that it is easy to put together. Thanks Russell !
This link should work in France: www.etsy.com/fr/listing/1005042852/mainbow-analog-video-synth-eurorack I'm still selling them. $220 Canadian dollars for DIY kits and $320 for a prebuilt one.
Mainbow contains a colour composite video encoder and four function generators which output both LZX and monochrome composite. The function generators patch to the colour encoder to produce the video shown in this demo. The enoder has a composite input and alpha channel that blends synthesised video with an external video input.
This looks incredible but it soldout almost immediately. Please consider making an SMT version of the PCB. I like through-hole soldering but this simply looks to big, all those resistor leads to bend, place, solder & then cut. There must be hundreds of solder pads 😅
This was by far my favorite kit to put together! I really hope you make some more! Happy New Year!
Can you make a video with the new model? Going into detail about the patches and how to mix everything together?
Oh dang. I guess I need to start a video modular.

Mine should arrive this week, stoked!!!
Looking forward to next batch! :))
This is the best I've seen so far 😻
Brilliant work on this Russ !

👁💈🚧 GREAT!
Total newbie. Will this process two signals or would I need a video mixer too?
Hi does this input and output composite as well as LZX,.. or just LZX?

Yay commercial drive

Do you have any for sale
Nice
Ever tried re-adding colours to Black and white kinescopes with it?...
