Angel has his wings!
YOU DID THE THING!!! Way to go, sir.
I made my first solo in 1968. Instructor was a WW2 veteran. I’ve been flyin’ ever since.
I still remember that day vividly! That was 55 years ago.
Well done, Pilot!
Wow! That is amazing, i will definitely remember this day!
Angel gets his wings congratulations :)
Thanks!!!!
There is no way we can enjoy it as much as you!😅 Congratulations. Thank you for sharing your adventure.
I definitely enjoyed it!!
Congratulations on your first solo flight. Hope all your landings are smooth and easy.
Thank you!!!
Hayyy my child!
it does not scare you?
because yes to me!!
how brave you are !
congratulations!
God with you always my child! 💖
your aunt and godmother love you💞
Any landing that you can walk away from is a good landing.
You look so excited! Good radio voice. You sound like every pilot. That calm, in charge, I got this voice. Nice walk off camera with your fancy aviators.
We are proud of you! We want a ride!
Thanks Robert! Apart from the occasional stutters lol 😂 we’ll definitely go on a flight soon! 😎
Well done Angel Foodcake - a Rookie no more!
Awesome angel that second landing was like butter way to go.
Right! Thank you!
Congrats on your first solo flight, now I can't wait for your first flight in the Scrapstang!
Nothing like taking off behind a turboprop to liven the climb out. Well done and congratulations.
Yes 😂
Good job.
Way to go Angel Solo Flightcake. Booster seat?😂
BOOSTER SEAT LOL 😂😂
Its just like taking your first car around the block after you pass the drivers test. This is awesome sir
Exactly!
Not even close. 😅
I'm proud of you Angel.
Shades look good!
Thanks Gary!
I've always wondered why your channel was called Rookie Pilot, now I know! This is awesome! I've been wanting to get my pilot's license for for years now. Congrats on your first solo flight!
Haha Rookie because i dont yet have my license lol. Thank you!
You have a student pilot license, my man!@@rookie__pilot
Nice sync job! The wing angle is excellent, shows the cockpit really well. Congrats on your solo, hope this is the next step into getting your own plane!
Hopefully!! Thanks!!
Outstanding Angel! Thanks for letting us look over your shoulder. Looking forward to more.
You, Sir, are a ROOKIE PILOT!!!

Fantastic! Well done, love how you did your pre flight every flight. Keep it going ❤.
Enhorabuena por tu solo
Cool beans!
First solo flight and 4k views, double congrats.
Well done Angel. 🎉. Before you know it you’ll be flying your friends to Vegas for the weekend!! 👌
I truly enjoyed watching your solo flights. I soloed on June 29, 1965 in a Cessna 150 and will never forget the combination of excitement and fear that I might screw up. The Army sent me to flight school on 20 Jul 1969 and I spent the next 30 years flying a combination of army helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. Congratulations and best of luck to you. Once you take this path you never know where you will end up. The sky is the limit.
Wow 1965! That is awesome, and impressive that you flew helicopters AND planes!!
Congrats! Never had a doubt!
Means alot thank you!
Congrats Angel!! The first big step in your aviation career and one you'll never forget. I appreciate your cockpit habit of reading aloud the checklist item, visually verifying it, and actually touching the switch/gauge/control as you run down the list. Any plans on buying an airplane? If you ever get the chance, come to Oshkosh for AirVenture. It's like Disneyland for aviators.
Thank you! I definitely want to buy an aircraft sometime in the future, and DEFINITELY need to go to oshkosh one day!!
Congrats Angel! Next A10 Wort Hog!
😂
Congratulations Angel now you are a fly boy
Hell Ya! Congrats Angel!
Thank you!!
Wow totally awesome. Congrats!!!
Congratulations. Good job all around. In gusty air work on mitigation of wing disruption. Application of aileron suddenly will not be coordinated and we don't want to turn anyway. On the cross country, which comes next, get trimmed up and then put your hands in your lap. Use rudder only, use correct yaw rather than adverse yaw, to bring the wing back level. By using rudder only to bracket, yaw, direct the nose exactly to a distant target we allow no wing low and thus turn which we don't want. Pilots who use aileron (coordination only comes when we lead rudder) to level the wing will call rough air moderate turbulence while pilots using rudder only in the same air will call it light turbulence. Instructor try Dutch rolls, I think they now call them coordination rolls, to enough bank to overcome the wing warping in the Cessna. They will convince you/students that unless we lead rudder in turns, the nose goes the wrong way initially. "Step on the ball in turns?" "Too late Ethyl." The nose has already gone the wrong way. Good job with the first solo.
Outstanding!
It reminds me a lot of my first solo in 1975.
It was in a 150 and I definitely noticed the increased performance without 180 pounds of instructor.
And the third landing was just fine.
You survived and the airplane isn't even broken.
Welcome to the family, pilot! 😎
Thanks!!
Well done sir!
Thank you!
Bravo Zulu, my friend!
Good job!
Awesome job Angel! Congrats! And always, thanks for sharing your experience :)
Congrats dude!! First solo is a big day in your flying career. Don't forget to flair, I think you may have a tendency to land a little flat. Your second landing you definitely kept the nose wheel up until the mains where rolling. Try some landings and see how far you can keep that nosewheel up and do a wheelie down the runway. That will help you get a feel for bringing that nosewheel down after the mains. Keep up the great work. Now for some solo CC!
Very VERY good observation! I do have a tendency to land flat, ive been told by multiple instructors lol. I definitely beed to work on keeping the flare in, the landings were soft but on the 3 wheels instead of the mains!
@@rookie__pilot it comes with practice. I also noticed that we have the same headphone setup - Bose Q35 with mic attachment. We really are the same person!!! My brother from another mother!
I knew you could do it!!
Thank you Jason!!
Well done. Congrats on first solo flight.
Wooohoooo!
Congratulations!
Thanks!
Congrats man!
Thanks!!
Awesome job, Angel. Congratulations!
CONGRATS!
Your flying it lad great stuff top job 😎
Good job, Angel!!
Interesting wing camera view. Could be camera shake, but the nose wheel *appears* to continue to spin slowly, during flight.
Great job! What else do you have to do to be licensed?
A couple cross countrys, night flying and the test pretty much!
Congratulations and well done. One milestone down and a few more to go.
Yes sir! Next up 777’s lol
@@rookie__pilot You’d be surprised at how similar it is.
Well done ,congrats👍🙂
Thank you!’
Congrats!!!

Hahaha, I'm stealing this
😂😂
So much fun thank you
Sweet!!
Well done man, how long did it take for it all to really sink in. Have to say it brought it all back for my first solos
Took about until the 3rd landing lol
Well done Food Cake.
That’s cool. I always wanted my pilots license.
Never too late!
nice dude
Badass!
Great video
Someone is going to send you some piddle packs.
Who's plane are you flying? You're living your dream, great job.
A rental from Marana Flight school!
Way to go !!! Flys way different without your instructor
Angel, that was awesome and actually, I was a little nervous for you but you handled that solo like a boss or should I say, "captain". You also answered my question of how long it took you to get to your solo. Well done and will you be doing a solo next to another airport and back? 👨✈
Yes cross country solos should be next! Thank you Manny!
Congrats Angel! I am going to offer one piece of advice, put the check list somewhere else. You are covering up a good portion of your view of the ground...sounds inconsequential, but trust me. Buy a kneeboard.
You are right!’
Hey great videos and Tucson area, don’t see many Tucson pilots.
How do you record the audio, what would I need to do that on a C150? How about the cameras. If they are GoPros. What do you use to hold them on the wing and resist the wind? Im worried those that you peel and stick won’t hold up
Thank man. Will continue to see the videos.
👏👏👏👏
Is your instructor there for your first solo?
Yes, he is standing on the field!
😎
👊👍
Noice!
