  • Blood, Sweat & Tears, known for hits such as "Spinning Wheel", "You've Made Me So Very Happy", and "And When I Die", headlined the legendary Woodstock Festival and won multiple Grammy Awards, most notably 1970's win for Album Of The Year, besting The Beatles' "Abbey Road" and "Johnny Cash at San Quinten." This is the incredible never-before-told story about a top rock band that was unknowingly embroiled in a political rat’s nest involving the U.S. State Department, the Nixon White House and a controversial concert tour of Yugoslavia, Romania and Poland, countries that were behind what was then known as the Iron Curtain. As a result, they found themselves in the crossfire of a polarized America, as divided then as it is now.

I remember BS&T blasting, it was the music that got us thru Vietnam. Everybody had good music gear to listen on in 1970 and we all knew the words.

Schuchman talking about Ukraine, Georgia, and Putin supposedly wanting to recreate the USSR is so embarrassingly ridiculous, so inaccurate, and obviously a product of neo-con and DNC and corporate media/NGO propaganda that I almost feel sorry for him. It's one thing to be ignorant, but to be ignorant about something while thinking you're astute about that very same thing, especially when he's never been anywhere near it or the people it involves, is that weird mixture of arrogance and stupidity that is sadly all too common.

It's frustrating. Unfortunately a lot of people listen to the media and think they've been informed. They don't realize just how captured the press has become.

I have been a fan of BS&T since I first heard Spinning Wheel when I was in 3rd grade in 1968. In all honesty, I'm A fan of BS&T's musicianship. I love their sound and the feel of their music. I am not concerned with any politics surrounding the band at all. Personally I don't care who is in what office. I see the politics of any era as a lot of cajoling, out maneuvering, and guess work. At this point, I'd like to see current politicians, anywhere in the world, start to make educated guesses, rather than what they've been doing.

I'm down voting your comment only because it's a stupid idea to want politicians to represent the desires and needs of, by spending the money of, millions and billions of people by executing their own educated guesses with it
