This code just popped up on my GLA45
Glad you made a video addressing the issue
It’s me again!! So it looks like you’re the only one on the Internet I can find that’s done this job. Do you have any tips for getting that oil pan broken free? I’ve tried heating it, but I’m afraid that I’m going to mar the mated surfaces as I wedge in between the pan and the block. How did you get the pan to break free?
I use a heel bar and there’s a couple of locations it will fit in between the sump and the block. Try to avoid any wedges etc that will go onto the face of the sump or block. Once it’s split it will come of easy enough 👍
@@godfreysautomotiveservices hey I appreciate your help
F**king hell - I thought that amount on the whiteboard was £970 until you read it out!! Phew!!
Thank you for this video. My GLB 250 picked up this code. Vehicle runs smoothly but will still address it. Two questions, did you use a gasket when you put the pan back on? And secondly, after you put back the oil pan. Did you put oil inside right away or did you wait for seal to dry? Thanks brother!
No pan gasket on these, just sealant. It’s fine to put oil in while sealant goes of 👍
Hi Godfreys! very useful video, thanks a lot
is it possible to carry out the opening and closing test before closing back the oil sump?
Really awesome video! I assume that it is simular job on the Mercedes C350e. The engine is alomst the same. (I think)
Also just had this on my C350e. Mechanic claims it's common on mercs. Driven 1000 miles recently with it, it turns out... but going to get it done anyway. labour time is 10 hours, apparently. £1.1k eek! Did you get yours done?
@@hugemoose101 Hello guys, did you get it done or did you do it by yourself? Just have mine pop up on my C350e too! Thanks for sharing!
Many thanks for the video as this makes me understand the problem, I’ve just had remapping done on my GLA 45 AMG which I was very frightened to do as I’ve never done anything like this to any of my cars before & I’m still paying it off & they highlighted this fault code before mapping , what does this sensor do & could it course problems if not sorted sooner rather than later ?
So you did not have to evacuate the Freon from the a/c line prior to removing the a/c compressor?
I’m doing this repair now and wanted to make sure
no mate I just unbolted and moved over to one side 👍
how much labor is involved in getting to this connector wire harness?
Thank you so much for this video
Hiii Thanks for the vid,
I have this isseu with my 2015 cla 180 i just spoke with the dealer and they have the wiring on stock but do you have a part number for the pump ?
Hello mate quick question is the proceds the same on a cla250 as well?
I believe so 👍
Good job
Hi, thanks for the explanation!
A question... I have an A45 2016 W176, is the part reference the same?
Thanks!
Hi Paulo, glad it helped 👍.
Yes same M133 engine in the A45’s.
Wow great video, but how did you move the lower coolant pipe.. ive spilt it under the dpf/ cat..and unbolted at the oil filter but i cant free it from filter housing.
hey great video, P06da00 warning light has come up on my Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate C200 Sport 5d Auto. the mercedes garage said part A270 150 29 00 was compatiable with my car. would you be able to advise what part number i would need for my car? thanks in advance
Hi, feel free to email me your vin number and I’ll look into this for you 👍
Thank you.
Is it just plug and play?? Or does it require some kind of coding??
Plug & Play 👍
Hi there, is this also a solution for a B180 W246 2013?
Where you located mate
What year is this cla I have a 2018 would it be in the same location to replace ? And same part
What did he say about 10 minutes? Couldn’t understand.
Was he talking about the sealant?
Yes, 10minutes to apply the sealant 👍
my 2017 E300 is giving me the same code. Should I change oil pump or this can be fixed
Thanks
I’m not sure on the set-up on the E300 but if it has a separate wiring loom to the pump I would check that first 👍
My e 300 just popped up the same. How much was it to replace and where?
If you leave this what kind of damage will it do? Like what is its job ?
I’m due to get this issue fixed on my CLA180 and I have been quoted around £480inc vat from a Mercedes’ specialist garage, does this sound about right?
Hi there, yes prices will vary depending on location but this sounds about right 👍
How much to roughly fix this issue on w205?
2017 Mercedes’ E 300 code P06DA00 (The actuation of the valve of the oil pump in the combustion engine has
an electrical fault or open Circuit). Someone told me it’s oil pump solenoid need to be replaced, the question can I do it from the bottom or I have to remove the motor and flip it in order to replace it, can you please guys help!!!
Hi Alex, if you send over the VIN number I will look it up for you 🙂
@@godfreysautomotiveservices WDDZF4JB3HA016427
Thank you in advance!🙏
@@tigerali7 You can replace it from the bottom with the engine in. You will have to lower the front axle and both sumps, time given for this job is just 5.8 hours to give you an idea, hope this helps 👍
@@godfreysautomotiveservices perfect, in your experience, do you think with this code it’s the
Solenoid or the harness, and do you recommend if it’s the solenoid to change the oil pump as well, not to mention the vehicle has 210 miles on it?
@@tigerali7 In my experience it will just require the loom as this is a issue with some Mercedes petrol models. If it was just the solenoid I wouldn’t recommend replacing the oil pump.
Is that an Mercedes part number, Regards
It is , yes
Hi, I have the same code P06DA00 I’ve just been to Mercedes for the same part, but my part number is different, 👍
@@TomStewart-g3qso what’s the part number?
I have this code on my c200 2018 2L petrol is this the same part number bro?
Hi, I don’t think it will be the same part number as this one. If you want to email your vin number over I can check the number you require tho 👍
Hi my a45 amg 2016 has this problem and this fault code. Is it possible that the engine gives less power when this code is active? Thankyou
Hi Richard, I’m not aware of it affecting the engine performance from my past experience’s.
Hey buddy, my GLA45 has this only code active and I do feel some power loss when in Sport+, there is no other error message. I just ordered the part and see if this makes any difference, I know that you askd this a year ago, but did you manage to replace yours and notice any difference?
@@godfreysautomotiveserviceshi mate, thanks for this video, will this affect the engine in anyway we’re still driving the car up and down the motorway daily! Will get it booked in asap but is it dangerous?
@@bigboundsy i've not come across any issues where it would be dangerous to drive.
got this code as well on my 2016 C300, is the part you listed applicable for my model? I got this code as well as the P05E271 and needing a fix for that aswell.
hey did you find a fix for this i just got my error code this morning
I have this code on my c350e along with P1D02-12 and P052E-71 crankcase ventilation valve 😩 I have zero luck with cars think I might start taking the bus
Sorry to hear that Tony, crankcase vent valve is another common issue I’m afraid
@@godfreysautomotiveservices thanks for the reply mate any idea what sort of Labour time Iam looking at for these two jobs combined trying to get a quote for this is proving difficult everyone wants to charge me £120 to plug it in again first 😒
@@bigt18cross I’m actually away on holiday at the moment, I’m back on the 6th and can have a look at the book times for you 🙂
Hello, I need help. I have the same code on my 2016 Mercedes Benz CLA 250. I can switch on the car the cannot move to D, N or R. The problem come to me after changing the main batterie.
Hi there, I’ve seen this before. The gearbox sometimes needs to relearn itself after a battery change, this normally takes a minute or two where you will need to keep the ignition on and foot on the brake pedal. It should show on your instrument cluster what to do. Hope this helps 🤞
Hi and thanks for the video. I have A class W176, 2013. is this the same hardness ? where do you find this part ? mercedes benz dealer says that you must buy sett of hardness for the whole motor which is very expensive. can you please provide a dealer or website we can purchase it.
Hi, is it the A45 W176 you have please?
Where can I get the sealing plan from please
Hi, sealing plan is from Mercedes WIS, it requires a subscription to use. If you email me I will dig it out and send you it 👍
@GAS Automotive hi would there be any chance you could email me a copy of the sealing plan thanks
Wat heppent if you dont Cheng in time
I’m not sure on that one, I’ve seen this fault stored in vehicles for years with no short term issues
What happens if you dont fix it?
Hi there, I’m afraid I can’t answer that one! The pump valve is there to adjust the oil pressure depending on the engines demand for it. I have seen many vehicles ignore this fault and still found to be ok but what long term effects it may have, I can’t be sure. My view is that, Mercedes used this system for a reason so would highly recommend the repair to be done 👍
@@godfreysautomotiveservices Thank you for the reply. I have car booked in for the repair. Just wondering as I have no error lights on the dash and the car drives fab. This error came up on a diagnostic tool after I had a problem after a tune.
@@mannix1983uk no problem. The fault code itself will never flag up on the dash but will stay as a current fault in the system so unable to clear until repair carried out.
How long does the job take? On the a45 the subframe isnt in the way?
@@vt2vx About 4 hour's and no need to remove the subframe on the 45's.
