  • Back to work on my 1982 R model Mack restoration. In this episode I am reassembling the front axle and suspension components. Just like on the rear axle, all of the wear parts are being replaced, everything has been torn down, sandblasted, painted with chassis saver, and is being reassembled with new bushings, pins, U-bolts, bearings, seals, and hardware.
The old Mack is starting to take shape and it's exciting to see the fruits of my labor come together to get one step closer to a complete truck.
If you enjoy the video, give it a thumbs up to let me know.
leave me comments, I always read all of them and I love hearing your stories about your experiences in Mack trucks.

Awesome job. Glad to see you making progress. I know it is expensive and you are moving along pretty fast considering.
We always used our tanks to fuel equipment the same way. Made life a lot easier by having that valve on the end of tank

The original frame is rotted and broken beyond repair. It's a wonder how the truck hasn't broke in half by now. Thanks for watching.
