“Level 7 Susceptible” nice reference! Just to complete the circuit, Richard Ayoade (Moss) directed an episode of Community, Critical Film Studies (aka My Dinner With Andre Dinner With Abed)
Information Technology. 👍 Hardly anyone knows that... Episode 3x4 is one of my favorites. I'm sure it was pulled due to people being sensitive to the non-politically correct (certainly be the standard of the last several years) nature of much of the episode. It's tragic that people don't have a sense of humor anymore.
It's a shame about 3x4. You might already know by now but it dealt with some sensitive gender topics and while the episode itself, on it's own, didn't cause a controversy, the creator of the show made some pretty public statements against the LGBTQIA+ community (I'm being vague to avoid spoilers here). Now that his controversial opinions are a matter of public knowledge people have gone back and taken down that episode, just in case.
OMG! I had no idea they censored one of the most funny and hilarious episode 😓. I am also one of those letters in "LGBTQAİZMKHGLÖĞ++" but no body asked my opinion if I am offended or not! That is sooo ridiculous! I dont care if the creator of the show made some offensive comments about me. The actual creator also has a lot of offensive comments in his books but who cares! I want my entertainment...
I have the DVD’s, I looked at the case, there’s no description of the episode so I’ll have to watch it, I can’t remember any such episode being offensive..
So the writer and creator of the show Graham Linehan is famously transphobic, kinda like JK Rowling levels. Around 2018 I think, he caused the charity Mermaids, which provides support for trans children and young people, to lose funding. Episode 3x4 had an outdated, lazy, and casually transphobic story line, which wasn't really seen as enough of a reason to ban it on it's own, but what with Linehan being so outspoken with his hateful views, the episode kinda hits different in light of that, so I guess that's why it's banned. The other storyline in the episode is good though, and it has great jokes separate from the trans stuff. Shame really that it's lost with the rest of the episode. Honestly after what Linehan did to Mermaids and his other actions, I haven't watched IT Crowd since. I loved it when it was coming out, my friend and I even memorized the emergency services number! and would quote the show often. But the whole show felt kind of tainted after that. It has been nice getting to revisit the show through your reactions, and experience it in a new way.
I knew a girl, beautiful, in the 9-12th grade, we’d see each other at regionals, area and all state band and orchestra, kinda had a crush on her, this was 70-80’s, and she transitioned later, much later, and you’d never, ever even guess she was originally female. Became a successful, married to a woman man with several foster kids. She went through so, so much, and seeing all the hate now for anyone different sexually really pains me. If things had been different and more accepting I might have had a satisfying relationship, but you try to “be normal” without realizing you’re trying to just fit in.
Series 3 Episode 5 is near enough impossible to watch on streaming sites because the storyline involves Douglas falling in love with a woman who used to be a man. It’s widely considered to be transphobic. It’s a shame you can’t see it really, because the whole Jen’s speech/internet story-line is brilliantly funny. This is why I’ll never get rid of my DVD copies of my favourite shows.
Moss pretending to be Jen's husband is among my favorite bits of the show. He was so extra. 🤣
“Jen..why don’t you tell them about your bionic arm?” Zenith and Quasar…to die for..
Moss cannot tell a simple lie, he runs with it into a whole production.
“The speech” is one of the best episodes of the show, I hope we get to see you react to it.
One of the most genuinely funny shows ever made..

I didn't know that! I did know that Matt Berry was on the show for a bit. Grifting class teacher.
Episode 4 is still on bootleg sites. Probably censored because had humor related to a certain protected group.
Information Technology = IT
The Speech!!!
Try and watch the missing episode before the last episode of season 4
It's crazy how they deleted the best episode because two people on Twitter got mad.

I vehemently disagree with the creators personal opinions. However, I do still think the removed episode is hilarious.

It's indeed a shame. It's got my 2nd favorite bit of the whole show.
Re the banned episode; It turns out people aren't allowed to be offended anymore.

Only widely considered so by hypocrites that claim to want equality, but only want equality until it is no longer benefiting them.
Also I think you meant Episode 4.
Not widely, just some nutters on the internet that seem to get all the attention.
@ Yes, I did.
