He isn't fighting back because that's what she wants. She wants it to escalate. He's not giving her what she wants. I've been in a relationship like this. And doing what he's doing is the only thing that de escalates the situation.
I had a friend like this, in high school he was the coolest guy and the life of the party. He had a hilarious and quirky sense of humor and loved having people over to just party and have fun. But then his depression set in and he wound up dating this power feminist who broke him down like a drill seargant and then trained him like a puppy. He doesn't smile or laugh anymore. His sense of humor was sucked out of him and he just stays home and gets yelled at. The very light in his eyes is gone, he's now a totally broken and subservient person. It's one of the saddest transformations I've ever seen.
My God. I can’t believe that chick took the life from him. That’s a fate worse than death. I would tell him to leave but that choice is on him. I hope he will see what matters more. His dignity or her.
And she picked him to date on purpose. People sometimes don't like when you are happy. They want you to be miserable like they are. Very manipulative!!!!
I know a guy who was in a less extreme version of this situation. His gf would freak out about stuff like leaving up the toilet seat and was completely convinced it was some plot to oppress her or whatever, and his personality became broken down and depressed too. At least he eventually left, your friend sounds stuck unless SHE decides it is over. I find it odd that guys don't lose their feelings for women like this in short order. If it happened to and she suddenly turned into a monster, I don't think that it would take long at all before my old feeling were completely gone and I was dumping her with pleasure during a bitch session.
I'm so relieved for this man and feared he would stay with someone who would treat him so badly. He did leave her, and seems to have someone else now who looks sane! Abuse is wrong, no matter the gender.
I was married to one of those. I'm now 57 and that relationship ..my first adult relationship,20 yrs ago Convinced me to be alone for the rest of my life.
Wow. I get it. I was in a relationship like this and put up with it because I was lonely and depresses. I got out of it after 8 years. It was hard and I cried for days, but im actually happier now, been 4 years since I left.
I know . I didn't think I could find another woman so I put up with a lot of crap with my ex . I'm single now and very careful who I go out with . Being with the wrong person is worse than being alone.
Imagine if we stopped whining about the double-standards, on both sides, and actually worked as a generation to get rid of them, instead of making everything a gender war. Ah, the things we could accomplish ..
I agree with the guy talking. Why in the world would anyone put up with being that mean and horrible to you! I'm not a man but either way I would never put up with that treatment. I would leave and go somewhere far away. No one is worth loving to be treated that way. Have some pride. At least he got wise and dumped her rear what a psycho.
sometimes you are stuck at least he realized it and broke it off eventually but if you are talking about this specific case what did you want him to do ? yell back at her in an airport ?? he seems to be the only one with self dignity and common courtesy for other people. he can't just walk away from her neither these kind of people follow you and don't mind embarrassing you further. the best thing you can do in this kind of situation especially in a public place is to stay calm then try to calm down the aggressor pretend like you completely understand where they're coming from then once their episode dies down drop them
He's actually really good looking, and he's clearly patient if he was able to be calm during that little episode if hers He will definitely find better if he hasn't already
I had an ex like this, and this isn't something that's fixable. It's a personality defect. She LITERALLY thinks that by making her boyfriend look bad, it makes her look good. I got stuck with my ex on a cruise (mistake--I already knew how she was) where she proceeded with the drunken, attention-seeking histrionics and abuse. I disembarked in Jamaica, caught a cab to the airport, flew home, and moved my stuff out while she still had four days left on the cruise. Removed my credit card from the room tab before I left, too. Don't know how she paid the rest of her way, and don't care. This guy would be wise to do the same. He's just throwing good time after bad, at this point. Edit: I made the above comment halfway through the video. Glad the guy left.

I really hope somebody from her family will see that deplorable behavior and will call her out on that in front her whole family. That broad is pathetic! Why does her boyfriend suffers all that abuse?!? Is she that good in the sack?! I mean…COME ON MAN!! If he would see his son suffering that kind of mistreatment, what would he say to him?
My sister used to be like this to her boyfriends all the time and I would always encourage them to leave her but they never did. They were frightened of her or just so used to the bullshit they felt like they couldn't leave. It was heart breaking. I confronted her once on a trip and she got so mad at me over loyalty. I didn't speak to her for 5 years after that. She's grown up alot and got help for herself, but there was a time where she was terror.

She’s too coherent, and her pacing is too natural for it to be a true breakdown. I think that’s just the way she handles any stressful situation, that isn’t going her way. Someone who was just in breakdown fight mode, wouldn’t have made it so personal and heavy. She wasn’t just going for the jugular, she was trying to inflict an internal damage slow kill lol.

And Xenoshot please don't throw shade toward him -- your comments about his "lack of testosterone etc" is poking fun at - minimizing a man who is being verbally abused... which causes men who deal with this abhorrent behavior to feel ashamed to come forward. As someone who was married to a woman who treated me just like this, it doesn't happen over night.
It's his choice and he wants to put up with the bullshit, then I have no sympathy for him. We can decide what people we want to let in our lives.
