The one in Salineas used to be in the royal loo, so Mermista's father could be in there as long as he wanted and just say he was "recharging"; once he retired and Mermista took over, she had it cleaned off and installed high in the wall above her throne. Still smells cussed strong of mackerel, though.
Honestly, given that she has those massive pincers instead of hands, Scorpia's stick figure drawings aren't half bad. Better than anything I could do for certain.

Entrapta is very much FOR THE SCIENCE. This makes for a very entertaining character and makes her relationships with the Horde and the Princess Alliance very interesting. Notice how she’s only really thinking about learning/inventing/improving things, not what those improved weapons/bots will be used for… attacking the Princesses. Also both Catra and Adora learned about the planet Etheria, but from very different perspectives and sources
Seeing Shadow Weaver getting her ass handed to her and her position being taken by Catra who she only saw as a nuisance and never took as a serious threat is honestly so satisfying. Especially after hearing what she said to her in the previous episode.
Forget the previous episode, I think what Catra says about Shadow Weaver's abuse in this episode is even worse. Catra's description of learning how to predict where Shadow Weaver will strike, how to dodge and how to resist her magic, makes it sound like Shadow Weaver was using Catra as target practice. Its horrifying.
In the original series, Light Hope didn't take a humanoid form at all; instead, he (Light Hope was male, or at least spoke with a masculine voice) appeared as a giant column of rainbow light shining out of a hole in the ground. I really like what they did with the character in this series. She's surprisingly nuanced for an AI, which I guess makes sense after the reveal that her personality was based on a First One queen - who was actually Hordak's distant ancestor, which is why he feels he has the right to rule Etheria.
fun fact btw entrapta was originally a horde member in the classic series and considering her name she was pretty much the one making traps to catch princesses. safe to say this is one of the many top tier glow ups of the franchise
I'm really digging that Pikachu among us mug. I know the Horde are the villains, but Catra, Scorpia, and Entrapta as a trio as just so much fun to watch. Also, after everything Shadowweaver has said and done, seeing her breakdown near the end was so satisfying. I know Catra's got a whole bunch of issues of her own, but seeing her stand up to Shadowweaver was great
I find Catra an interesting character to follow just because there's a certain scrappiness to her that's hard not to root for even when she's clearly going down the wrong path. It's rare to see a series where the hero's rival doesn't gain the kind of magical powerups or other perks afforded to their opponent, so there's always a sense that she's punching above her weight class, to either gain more recognition/authority within the Horde or challenge her old friend who from her point of view seems to be consistently favored by the universe. Love her or hate her you gotta respect that kind of hustle.
Horde fates: Shadow Weaver takes up gardening, Entrapta marries a robot, Hordak grows out of his goth phase, Scorpia finds happiness living in a desert (as befits a scorpion), and Catra gets an emotional support cat and chills out. Kyle never catches a break, though.
Wait until Bow gets pushed too far and just …snaps… it’s the perfect example of “beware the fury of a quiet man”, Bow has quite the dark side he keeps well hidden behind his upbeat demeanor…
Swift Wind is funny now but the writers mention having trouble with the best way to characterize him. He got really unpopular in season 2 when there was an episode that was just him doing a eulogy for his horse mom in front of a bunch of non-talking horses and no B-plot.
It gets pretty rough in later seasons when Swift Wind finds out what really happened to his pegasus hero, and specifically what his hero saw in the view from halfway down.
I think it was a transmitter crystal on her mask that allowed her to siphon magic from the rune stone. the stone wasn't made for her or her bloodline so she shouldn't be able to take any magic so and this is hypothetical it was probably a conduit like how a quartz stone is used to conduct electricity.

11:30- You are correct! We've already seen Frosta's runestone (the spiky ice-looking thingy she used to counteract the bombs Scorpia planted) and Perfuma's (The pink thing in the tree they healed). Interestingly, Entrapta seems to be the only princess who doesn't have her own runestone.
The only _main cast_ princess. Netossa, Spinnerella, the Star Sisters, Peekablue, and all of the unnamed background princesses at Princess Prom lack runestones. There's some continuity problems with the elemental princesses displayed by Light Hope and the number of lights on Entrapta's machine vs the number of runestones. Fanon trying to fix this includes the theory that there used to be more but only these five are still functional in any way meaningful to the plot. (This would imply that the system is seriously over-engineered, but given that Light Hope indicates that it's lasted for at least a thousand years without a She-Ra to do glowy maintenance on it, it would have to be!)
The first few episodes of the series indicated that Shadow Weaver didn't immediately know about Adora's connection to She-Ra and the sword (hence the repeated interrogation of Catra). But you do get the impression that Shadow Weaver senses some undefinable "potential" in Adora and has groomed her for the purpose of taking advantage of that.
You're right, this is the first time the viewer learns that Swiftwind can talk, and it's amazing. lol Mosco: The casual touching of the hair is so cute Me with my thoughts: The touching of the hair...the exact same thing Shadow Weaver does when she tries to manipulate someone...specifically Catra.(I love Catra and she's done nothing wrong, so I notice these connections throughout certain scenes lol) Also, Scorpia's drawings are what encouraged me to continue my beautiful stick figure drawings!

Light Hope is hardware/software, and Swiftwind has not spoken until now. Entrapta is the only princess we've met that doesn't have a runestone... I can't remember if that was the same in the original or not. Frankly, all I recall is popping our cat into castle greyskull so they would come out of the 'mouth' because I found it inherently funny, at that age.

My take on the casual contact of Catra touching Entraptra's hair: Catra doesn't know much healthy casual contact. She knows Shadoweaver's manipulative gentle touches and harsh slaps... she knows fighting... she knows the roughhousing with Adora. So touching the flesh of a body is... complicated, full of conflicting impulses and signals. But hair that can extend quite a distance from the body and acts like a semi-sentient pet? Totally touchable.

I like gushing about Greek Mythology, but my family (Parents and one of my siblings) always tell me to shut up about it, so I can't gush at home, and my closest irl friend also tells me to shut up about it, even though I specificly befriended them to talk about it because they also showed intrest in it. Old fogey time, without spoiling anything: two funny differences. the first Swiftwind/or Swiftwing, I don't remember, in the original show had a very..deep...voice, for some reason they decided the winged unicorn mount of She-ra should sound like they eat cigars like a breakfast cereal. The second is Light Hope's form, in the original Light Hope was...a hole in the ground with a light coming out, so yeah...there were Godzilla's flashlight originally, it was weird, He-Man got a bird sorceress in a skin tight costume, She-ra gets a hole with a light beam. Also Imp, Hordak's "pet", yeah that thing was in the original show Super annoying, like a suck up toddler trying to get everyone in trouble for attention and repeating things Hordak would say in its annoying voice. Also fun fact its kind of funny Scorpia, Entrapta, and Catra are put together as in the original show they all sounded alike (possibly same voice actress I don't remember) but there were times Entrapta actually talked like a cat, using the same mreow voice pattern that show gave Catra, Scorpia too at times...also yes, the big thing knowing the original spoiled, Entrapta was a member of the Hoard in the old media, so I was surprised when she wasn't here but then this happened and I was like, ah...okay.

But she easily escaped her cell and went around sprucing the place up with flowers , dancing with Horde troops, calling Hordak "Hordy-kins", and just being a general nuisance (unlike other Rebels, Perfuma was completely unafraid of Hordak and the Horde). The episode would cut to the Rebels being concerned about how Perfuma was doing, then cut back to Hordak smashing his face against a wall or sitting on his throne actually weeping about how his dark, dismal Fright Zone was being ruined. Before She-Ra could charge in to rescue Perfuma, Hordak _invited_ her into his castle to take Perfuma back. Unfortunately Perfuma didn't want to leave, so he _literally_ begged She-Ra to take her, offering to stop the spell on the Whispering Woods and give the Rebellion three months worth of supplies and the Dark Ruby in exchange. At the end, Bow commented that he couldn't see how even Perfuma could be so annoying that Hordak would make such a bad deal, then looked over at Perfuma dancing around singing and making flowers, and said that actually he could.
Her personality could be summed up as "Head empty, only flowers".

I vaguely recall an episode where they tricked Scorpia into freeing _all_ of her slaves and destroying her own castle. It was the 1980s, the villains weren't allowed to ever win in children's cartoons.

11:30- You are correct! We've already seen Frosta's runestone (the spiky ice-looking thingy she used to counteract the bombs Scorpia planted) and Perfuma's (The pink thing in the tree they healed). Interestingly, Entrapta seems to be the only princess who doesn't have her own runestone.
The only _main cast_ princess. Netossa, Spinnerella, the Star Sisters, Peekablue, and all of the unnamed background princesses at Princess Prom lack runestones.
There's some continuity problems with the elemental princesses displayed by Light Hope and the number of lights on Entrapta's machine vs the number of runestones. Fanon trying to fix this includes the theory that there used to be more but only these five are still functional in any way meaningful to the plot. (This would imply that the system is seriously over-engineered, but given that Light Hope indicates that it's lasted for at least a thousand years without a She-Ra to do glowy maintenance on it, it would have to be!)

The first few episodes of the series indicated that Shadow Weaver didn't immediately know about Adora's connection to She-Ra and the sword (hence the repeated interrogation of Catra).
But you do get the impression that Shadow Weaver senses some undefinable "potential" in Adora and has groomed her for the purpose of taking advantage of that.

Light Hope is hardware/software, and Swiftwind has not spoken until now. Entrapta is the only princess we've met that doesn't have a runestone... I can't remember if that was the same in the original or not. Frankly, all I recall is popping our cat into castle greyskull so they would come out of the 'mouth' because I found it inherently funny, at that age.

My take on the casual contact of Catra touching Entraptra's hair: Catra doesn't know much healthy casual contact. She knows Shadoweaver's manipulative gentle touches and harsh slaps... she knows fighting... she knows the roughhousing with Adora. So touching the flesh of a body is... complicated, full of conflicting impulses and signals. But hair that can extend quite a distance from the body and acts like a semi-sentient pet? Totally touchable.

Old fogey time, without spoiling anything: two funny differences. the first Swiftwind/or Swiftwing, I don't remember, in the original show had a very..deep...voice, for some reason they decided the winged unicorn mount of She-ra should sound like they eat cigars like a breakfast cereal. The second is Light Hope's form, in the original Light Hope was...a hole in the ground with a light coming out, so yeah...there were Godzilla's flashlight originally, it was weird, He-Man got a bird sorceress in a skin tight costume, She-ra gets a hole with a light beam. Also Imp, Hordak's "pet", yeah that thing was in the original show Super annoying, like a suck up toddler trying to get everyone in trouble for attention and repeating things Hordak would say in its annoying voice. Also fun fact its kind of funny Scorpia, Entrapta, and Catra are put together as in the original show they all sounded alike (possibly same voice actress I don't remember) but there were times Entrapta actually talked like a cat, using the same mreow voice pattern that show gave Catra, Scorpia too at times...also yes, the big thing knowing the original spoiled, Entrapta was a member of the Hoard in the old media, so I was surprised when she wasn't here but then this happened and I was like, ah...okay.
