Only issue is that they take his words for a story, like a novel of someone else. They analyse and chuckle about it from a 3rd perspective, but they don't feel that he lived these moments from what I could tell. They speak in an upbeat tone, not like the morose and almost satirical overshadowing tune.

The first part reminds me of the pain of losing my military buddy, second is my ex of how you can’t save someone if they aren’t willing to save themselves regardless of how much you love them. Pain. It’s what connects us all.

CONGRATS ON 500K. I love Kendrick Lamar. I remember discovering him through hearing the song Swimming Pools on the radio. I heard it around the time of when Good Kid Maad City was about to come out. I remember being very intrigued by the beat and his flow. So far, he hasn't disappointed me. To Pimp A Butterfly and Damn are pretty awesome. I can't wait to see what he will do next. It's been a while since I've listened to this song but it was nice to hear it again. Great song. Anyways, thanks for reacting to this song. Really enjoyed hearing your insight on this song.

500K 🙌 Let's get it !!! I really love this song it's in my playlist and I always thought just the subtle things about the song like how he adds sound effects to enhance the lyrics or how he gives you a perspective while also describing with good lyricism. His song is also great for those who aren't into hip-hop to understand where he's coming from and and how rough it was in his shoes. Great song from Kendrick and still bumping it !!
