Fertile Serama Eggs & Why They Don't Always Hatch

When ever you get eggs in the mail they could have gone through alot and that alone can kill the eggs or a few of them. Also X-raying the boxes can cause problems in the egg development or worse. Sometimes you get a miss and sometimes to get a hit with roosters mating. this was one way to look at the eggs before throwing them away. see why they didn't hatch of see if they did start and then stopped growing.

the Turner motor produces alot of heat so that's the reason the thermometer says high temps

You need to wait till atleast day 7. Especially if you dont know what you are looking at or you will be throwing away god eggs

yes but you have to make sure it's just like the ones you buy or it will fail. most people have great ideas and make a good one and most of us make ones that are not worth it. if you buy expensive eggs use a good incubator . if you have your own chickens and have eggs then perfect your creation... meaning , try the eggs you have with your own DIY incubator. good luck :)

When you candle the egg and it has a dark blood ring around it and no live movements. Its a dead chick inside. Any live movements and veins look good inside the egg. You know you doing something right. Took me Amin to get the hang of it when I first started out. I did alot of research

oh the incubator is not open while im helping this chick out other wise all those eggs would shrink wrap them selves. i just pull the egg and close the bator and help this chick out that what i do :)
