It does look amazing! And i love the fact that it doesnt have to be wedding related, im thinking it would look incredible for a christmas table setting with a few changes of foliage and maybe a pop of red

Believe it or not..that actually works. The pros just buy it cut and dipped in a special preservative, but you can easily cut branches from your backyard, and get creative!

We are doing a vow renewal at 5 years on the beach, just us and our children!! Never too early to display honor, love, and devotion for your marriage!
this looks so perfect and amazing! but I guess you would have to make them all the day before the wedding. especially if you have a lot of guests (and tables). and the day before the wedding can be pretty stressful I think.
actually, if you make the base of the bunches (the greenery and any flowers that dries nicely) a week in advance if you just spray it with water, put plastic over it and keep it in a cool place. You can cut (NOT like they do, do it with a knife!) and put the roses in water tubes with HOT water (about 50*c) and also put them in a cool spot a few, 4/5 days ahead. Then just put it together the day before!

mila maria Also, put floral preservative solution in the water that's in the water tubes. Many people just throw out the little preservative packets that come with flowers from a florist, but they actually make a big difference.
Hanna is wrong! Do not use hot water on roses they will die right away! Use cold water!
@@judybarraza5272 I always use warm water when I buy fresh roses and also use the preserve pack and my flowers look awesome for a few about 5 days.

thank you so much I'm using this for my thanksgiving table scape!!!!! hobby lobby had 80% off thanksgiving floral, 50% off garland, and dried plants which was perfect!!! I ended up getting 6 foot Salal garland for $7.50/each Dried Eucalpytus dollar bunch $4.50, leather fern that was yellowish for $2, baby's breathe $2= $16 for a whole garland center piece!!!!! thats reusable

florists charge more mainly because of the time it takes to put together the centrepiece, and they're paying a trained designer to put it together for you. Even so, most florists will give you a fair price and count each flower as they go to be sure. And the greenery, water tubes, and wires are usually left out of the final cost. So you really get what you pay for when working with a florist! I work in a flower shop and watch some really talented ladies work tirelessly to create amazing centrepieces, and trust me, you aren't being overcharged!
Hannah Joy ☾ wow I was thinking of doing this myself but was worried about when to assemble the greenery before the wedding. But now that you explained the details that comes with having a florists.... I just may go with one.

That’s true, but if you’re on a budget and good at crafting then this is a good option
Riya Jain it’s 45 dollars a piece, before the other things you need... you can buy these done from Sam’s club or Costco florists to save a little, but I’m trying to save practical pennies, and it’s beautiful, but not practical for most

When should you make it for your wedding? Because wouldn't the leaves start becoming dead if you make them to early?

This is beautiful but this would be hard to make, only because you can't make it days in advance and since theyre not in water they would wilt wouldn't they? So how is a bride suppose to be running around doing that the morning of if she's suppose to be getting ready and taking pictures. You'd have to have someone do it for you and doesn't that defeat the purpose of diy?
Dayana Alvarado they can do the greens in advance & just add the flowers later on (maybe?) They even said you can transport it at 2:55 so I dont really see an issue with it.
The greens (such as Eucalyptus, Olive, and some of the other most popular greenery) will dry up if done days in advance, not kept at the correct temperature (such as in a floral cooler), and not cared for by a professional. This is why it is best to hire a floral designer if you don't have someone else who can design them for your wedding. No Bride should be racing around days before her wedding only to end up with dead florals.
Good point! I’m doing mines with fake flowers and greenery months in advance. I get very stressed and there is no way I’ll be able to do this not even the day before

@@ancientjarl2051 Those are all fresh flowers. I've been a designer for 18 years, 14 years using only fresh floral. I would not recommend a bride doing this for their own wedding using fresh flowers as used in this video. I've gotten those last minute calls asking if we can save the day, when brides floral die or are less than fresh come wedding day.
Can you share where you got the flowers from? Did you order online or pick up from a local shop?
Where did you get the napkins from? Or any idea on the cheapest way for napkins?

Only thirty dollars. Per table of 4-6 guests. Which in the best case makes it 5 dollars per guest.
Here in Germany they cringe if it's over 2 dollars per guest... Sometimes they think 50 cents per guest is expensive. Sigh.

as a floral designer might i suggest waxflower instead of babys breathe? or even a dainty limonium? babys breathe in large quantities can sometimes smell like cat pee lol no hate just fair warning!!
Hi my wedding is in January 2020 and my venue does not allow me to build the flowers or runners on site. I need to bring them prepared. Can you advise how to care for them and also how to transport this ? I would need to make one the night before and am afraid the greenery would get bad if not in water.

These are definitely not the prices in my city. It's about 5x this price for everything, maybe 10x.
How soon can I make the garlands? 2 days before event? And once made where or how do i store them!? Someone help
