Hi Maria, from Scotland 🏴. I love your videos and am always so happy when I see a new post come up. You have such a lovely calm energy and your home is so beautiful. I’m so happy to see you looking less tired and getting a well earned rest before setting off again. Have a lovely season with Bendik and I look forward to seeing your next adventure 😊
Hi Maria. Your gentle videos fill me with calmness. Where I'm from in Australia the seasons are not so pronounced, so I sometimes forget to connect with this joyful part of life's cycle. Thank you for sharing this beautiful experience.
Dear Maria, it is so good to see you happy and enjoying gardening, it is the best relaxing “medicine” for the soul! And yes, winther will seldom let spring come and take over, but he has to leave and go to rest, while spring gets stronger and stronger! And now its here, in Sweden as well in Denmark🌷🌷🌷Enjoy this beautiful colourful Month of May!
I so agree, gardening has been my form of therapy for so long now. Even when I was studying in Bergen and only had a balcony to work with. Thank you, I hope you enjoy May too!
I had been wondering how you’ve gotten along without Bendik, so was happy to see this video. Spring is swelling in the land and heart! Bendik and his Mom will always remember their experiences together, so that time was priceless for them and it seems you’ve survived well and had time to ponder life. Sometimes we need that silence and cocooning process to figure out our next step in life, much like a tulip is nurturing underground before it blooms. I think you’re preparing for a full bloom in summer, after the last tour of this school year. I can’t wait to see what you get up to! ❤ Thank you for sharing your beautiful life with us.
Thank you so much for your videos! They were extremely helpful recently when I was in the hospital for 4 days. It was very stressful and watching your videos made everything fade into the background. I’m all healthy now, I just have to avoid a few things my kidneys don’t like.😅 I really appreciate your work. I enjoy seeing your beautiful country and hope to visit there soon in the near future. My daughter lives and works in Dublin so we are trying to plan a trip with her and our son when he gets out of grad school next spring. I look forward to seeing your adventures over the summer. Once again, thank you so much for your beautiful work.💜
I am so glad you are getting better! That sounds very stressful indeed. Feels so good to know my videos can actually be help to some people, thank you for telling me
Absolutely amazing. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Guys I recommended you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place moses peak. Add this sound in your bucket list.
Thank you for this very calming and natural video. It looks like you have two cats now. I live near the coast in northern California. We have a very mild climate, which is good for my health. I grew up in the eastern USA, where we had four seasons and lots of snow. I loved playing in the snow as a child. Thanks so much; I look forward to your next video.🪶
I was so happy yesterday when I saw you uploaded your video just 10 seconds ago. I immediately watched it through and now I am back here again to watch it for the second time because I love your videos so much and this one felt really special this time!! 😊 I'm still waiting for the day when you get to your first 1M subscribers because you really deserve it! ❤ Also I came to the comment section today to tell you that it's so cool and I'm very excited for you that you got your first sponsorship! It is completely okay to work with brands you really believe in and get paid for it. I really hope I can some day buy some of your own creations and support you even more directly! For others: if you love Maria's work as much as I do and want to support her even more then consider subscribing to her on Patreon as well!!! ❤ Sending so much love to you & Bendik, have a fun final tour together! I'll be here waiting patiently for the next video 😄
Thank you so so much, both for cheering me on with the sponsorship and for being such a supporter of my work in general. It really means a lot❤️❤️ . I hope some day I will be able to sell something of my own too, I'm glad you like that idea. I hope you will have a wonderful may month ❤️
Dear Maria, I can relate to the longing for change during the seasons. Sometimes life gives some endless cycles as you very well point out but the spring is around the corner. Amazing video. Tusen takk !
Thank you for all the scenic videos. Loved the rushing waters, flowers and the tranquility of your scenes. I was so proud of myself. When you showed the lavender colored flowers, I thought, "hepatica", and I was right! I don't know how I knew that, but they are so beautiful. Thank you! We have had a warm winter, but a cooler spring, and the bushes and flowers are just now blooming. It IS hard to think spring and then get caught with a snow shower. I hope spring stays for you now, too.
It's Spring here in Maine finally also. Daffodils, tulips, grape hyacinths, dandelions, columbine (my favorite) close to flowering...I bought and planted a Gaultheria procumbens (aka American wintergreen, Eastern teaberry). Do you have this plant where you live? When I was a kid it grew in the woods where I lived in Massachusetts. We used to chew the leaves. There is a chewing gum here called teaberry and it tasted like that. Happy May and reunion with Bendik 💚
Good morning, good afternoon or good evening, depending on when you read this comment, this channel of yours is truly wonderful in every way, from the editing, as well as the story, the places, the people, Bendic was cool at the event from the Japanese tradition, and producing (manufacturing) paper, I loved it when you lit a candle and placed it like a cage (sorry, I don't know the name), taking care of the garden, that blue flower is really beautiful, I loved it, just like the waterfall, so it's really worth watching your whole video, I remembered, I hope bendic is in the next video too, see you👋👋👋👋👋
Good evening :-). Thank you so much for all your kind words about my videos. Bendik says thank you too 😎. I am so glad you feel like the whole video is worth watching
Norway is beautiful. Many views remind me of New England, USA. I live in Connecticut, southern New England. Within a few hours drive I can visit the Atlantic Ocean, New York City, Boston, White Mountains (New Hampshire) and Green Mountains (Vermont).
Dear Maria, this was such a wonderful mixture of music, different moments and also emotions. Thank you very much for sharing all of this and especially for being so open about difgicult feelings too 💛 I feel like I was entrusted with this beautiful weirdness that I was allowed to see :) All these little contrasts and frictions stick to my mind and make me think and feel ☀️
Haha, I realized when reading it that it is all C's in that description I made. Also thank you for such kind words about the video, you really made my day
Lovely video. You should embrace your own company more often! I actually have a question for Bendik. (I understand it is your channel, and that he might not be too keen on answering, but in case he is willing) Would he consider talking/writing/describing to you for you to share (?) a bit about the experience with the artist residency he did in Japan? I have been looking into potentially taking the same opportunity, but it would be so helpful to have some feedback from someone who has been recently. Anything he would be willing to share would be much appreciated, specially anything about mistakes or things he wishes he had done differently. Thank you and keep up the great work!
I love those little blue flowers. So pretty. I hate to ask 🥴 but when does the snow return again as I believe your summer is very short ⚘️ Our winter is just starting, so we are both happy with our new season change 😊
I'm always so happy when I see a new video from you ☺️ being alone for a whole month that's quite a 'thing' and I can relate to the need for having a project in a situation like that. 😅 that video from Bendik was so funny, dancing, and wow the paper making, so gorgeous. Here in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 we also had to wait a long time for sunshine and warmer, dry weather, so welcome ☀️ good luck with all the preparations 😊
I'm so happy to find your comments here too :-). I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling a bit with that 😂. Glad to hear spring has arrived at your place as well. Thank you, and have a good week!
I believe it’s a health relationship when you spend time apart. It gives you both breather. It’s uncomfortable at first but it’s good for you guys. ❤ my husband and I are the same way. I’m a neurodivergent and he’s an introvert it says a lot lol 😂
I totally agree. It was more challenging than I thought, but that was also kind of a wake up call for me to try and do more things by myself and find that grounding inside again. Haha, you sound like a wonderful couple to me ❤️
@@Mariaandtheforest I’m glad you’re doing okay, yes it is a challenge but we all get through it in our own way or another. ❤️ and thank you haha we try! 😆
I have never been to Norway but my late husband did. He stayed in Skjervoy for fishing with some friends. It was a long trip I seem to remember! They flew from UK to Oslo then to Tromso, then a long trip on a coach I think! I notice a lot of the houses are painted red. Is that unique to Norway?
In ireland our winters aren't as cold and long as yours, but this year rain, wind and cold wouldn't stop, so I felt the same you did, fed up with winter and desperate for spring! It did arrive eventually and everything feels so much better with a little sun and warmth again! Thank you for this lovely video - what are you going to do with the meadowsweet leaves?
I can imagine its a little bit like in Bergen on the west coast. I feel like rain and wind can be almost just as draining so I totally get it. Glad you are also finally on the other side of it. I use Meadowsweet leaves mostly to make cordial/soda, but I also dry them to make tea from them in winter 😊
@@Mariaandtheforest the one time I visited bergen/norway we had 3 weeks of brilliant sunshine, so I can't compare, but being so close to the sea it might well be similar. And I thought you might use meadowsweet for dyeing - I used the flowers to dye beautiful strong yellows
