Porto on film // Olympus OM-1

- Last week I was in Porto (Portugal) and decided to shoot film only. The camera I used was the Olympus OM-1 with a 50mm f1.8 lens, which I bought a couple weeks ago. This is my first analog camera, which also means that film photography is still new to me. What I can certainly say after having shot the first rolls of film is that film photography not only changes the way you photograph, but also develops your photographic eye in a completely new way.
DEUTSCH: Vor ein paar Wochen hab ich mir meine erste analoge Kamera gekauft - die Olympus OM-1 mit dem Zuiko 50mm f1.8 Objektiv. Für mich ist das Thema "Analoge Fotografie" noch recht neu und um mich besser daran zu gewöhnen, hab in Porto ausschließlich analog fotografiert. Ich bin immer noch fasziniert davon wie anders der Prozess des Fotografierens ist wenn man analog fotografiert. Die Unterschiede machen sich schon lange bevor man überhaupt ein Foto schießt bemerkbar, da man nochmal um einiges selektiver vorgeht.

Hey, fellow photographer here! Beautiful video and stunning photos, I love the gorgeous light you captured, plus great street art. We brought film Olympus Stylus AF point and shoot on a trip to Mexico not long ago and managed to capture some beautiful shots. Keep exploring film, it is so much fun, I don't shoot it nearly often enough. Excited to see more videos from you!
Those Olympus analog point and shoots are so good! Glad you have one too :) I neither shoot with it as often as I'd like to, but every time I do it's a magical experience, which makes me fall in love with the whole process of taking photos all over again. Hallo Stefan, schöne Fotos! Ich habe mir vor 2 Wochen die Praktica MTL 3 gekauft und mein erster Film ist gerade beim entwickeln. Ich bin sehr sehr gespannt, ob die Bilder überhaupt was geworden sind. Die Fotos mit dem Kodak Ultramax 400 sind wirklich mega! Habe als Anfänger jetzt mal mit den Kodak Gold begonnen :)

Wunderbares Video!Ich habe eine gleiche Kamera. Persönlich finde ich Kodak ColorPlus 200 prima. Nächstmal hoffe ich schwarz und weis Fotografie probieren.
Danke :) Den ColorPlus 200 habe ich noch nicht ausprobiert. Bei nächster Gelegenheit werd ich den mal verwenden! Für Schwarz/Weiss finde ich den HP5 von Ilford sehr gut
Were all these shot by just using the light meter inside of the camera?
Going to Porto in 2 days. These pictures look great ! How do you expose your photos with film ? Is there a working light meter in-camera?
