The sound of the Wildcat is what really sells it for me. Hearing the wood click as you pass through feels like the whole thing was about to collapse! I got to ride this 10 times in a row front row on Halloween night because it was raining and the park was empty -- great memories!
This ride was my first big roller coaster and will always have a special place in my heart. I’m glad Rmc did some magic though to make it one of the best rides in the world!

i rode this on the day it closed and boy, was it a doozy. just about strained my neck from how bumpy it was, but i think the concept is great. really hope it's rebuilt as a steel coaster
Maybe the back aches is why you had the train all to yourselves, lol. I wish i could ride this once before it is gone. This ride layout is fantastic. Why are they getting rid of it? Is it having problems? Are they putting a new coaster in that spot? I hope your back is better. I dont go to parks coz of my terrible arthritis.. I still do hurt, but it's manageable, and i know that more relief is on the way. GOD has blessed me in every fashion of my life. GOD is in my heart and soul. If we dont have GOD in our hearts and in our souls by the time we get out of our death beds, we are going to HELL. GOD must see HIS reflection in our souls when we die to be invited into heaven. it looks absolutely badass. first drop is nearly 200 ft high and 82 degrees. i'm going to visit Hersheypark for the first time this summer and i'm so excited. i am not, however, looking forward to the lines for Wildcat's Revenge lol

Low ridership and the ride was known for being kind of rough and it could simply just not compete with the other coasters at Hershey. However it is not being completely torn down and is being converted into a brand new hybrid coaster by RMC.

Yeah I agree, I wish people would give some of these woodies a break. I live in Colorado so Pennsylvania is a heck of a long drive so I'm hoping I can ride this as a wood coaster before too long.
I remember once riding this coaster before it’s transformation into a hybrid, and the whole experience felt like we were riding on rocks, that just made it even more exhilarating even though ever bones in our body’s were broken.
I don't think this ride needs to be an RMC Hybrid. I think they simply just need to have GCI re-track it and it will be smooth as all their other coasters.
If it can’t be RMC’d, then at least sell it to a different park. Keeping it around in its current state with a superior GCI (well, two of them) in the same park sounds pretty pointless to me.

Dang, almost went on this ride a few years ago but got spooked and chickened out. Now having seen it, combined with going on the comet and lightning racer, even though those are said to be calmer in comparison, they seem to have much steeper straight drops than this, almost all these drops are curved…and I’m thinking, dang, I could’ve probably handled this, but I missed my chance!
I don’t mind roller coaster roughness as it can sometimes be fun however there is such a thing as being too rough to the point where it gives you a migraine even if your not an older person and a ride that causes pain on everyone is not that fun.
Being the first from GCI it would only be right for GCI to do something with it, some kind of complete makeover. And then name it something similar but more wild like hellcat or feline intertwine hahaha but honestly that’s a special coaster and I couldn’t think of a bigger slap to GCIs face than to have it RMCed. Or hey, maybe gift it to knoebels if they can find a spot! The phoenix was moved there from Texas so I don’t see why not.

It's the boomers that love this ride! It's the real thing! The genex and millennials need a smooth ride because it's too bumpy for them. We ride this with our hands held high.
