Y’all have no idea how intense this thing actually is. It looks so tame until you get on… easily the most intense drop hill I’ve ever experienced and I loved it!
Skyrush was a lot more intense throughout, but the vertical lift hill was the only part of a roller coaster that actually scared me at my visit to Hersheypark. That lift hill is something else man.
@@seandoesstuff4172I swear vertical lifthills are one of the most scariest things ever. I’ve been one eurofighter and one giant inverted boomerang and JEEZ the lifthills are horrifying
I went on this ride yesterday and it was really scary to go up at 90 degrees and then going straight down 97 degrees this ride really makes you feel alive after u ride this
It’s amazing that Hershey Park has 5 world-class Rollercoasters on it’s roster towards the end of 2023. Storm Runner, Fahrenheit, Skyrush, Candimonium, and Wildcat’s Revenge. That doesn’t even include the Lightning Racer and Great Bear, which still offer tons of fun! I hope Hershey Park’s next coaster is another launch coaster with a longer ride time than Storm Runner.
Same dude, I went a couple days ago and went on stormrunner and skyrush after Fahrenheit. I found Fahrenheit to be the scariest only because it made me so much more dizzy than the other two with your eyes open on the drop.
This coaster is one of the most underrated coasters of all time. I LOVED this coaster! This was definitely one of my favorites and I definitely want to ride this again! I got to ride this and Skyrush the most times out of any other coaster last time I went! This coaster is amazing, and I def recommend it
Such an interesting coaster and really overlooked. From a geeky POV I also love the friction wheels on the outside of the track at the bottom of the lift and the catch-car thing that attaches to the back of the train.
"What Rip Ride Rockit wishes it was" - truest statement ever said!!! The idea of the vertical lift hill is awesome because it is so disorienting, but it ONLY works well if what follows matches. On Rip Ride Rockit, that lift hill is probably the best part of the ride, and everything that follows is a bit flat. With Fahrenheit, as soon as you crest the vertical lift hill, the disorientation is followed by non-stop action right up until the magnetic break run. You never get enough time to fully gain your bearing, and next thing you know you are rapidly transitioning between so many intense elements. IMO, Fahrenheit is one of the most underrated coasters, and probably in part because it is not a record-breaking coaster in any sense, but it is just a lot of fun. I've ridden it at least 100 times in my life and it never disappoints (side note-walking from the exit to the entrance on slow days takes only about 60 seconds so it is great for re-rides). Can we also stop to appreciate that Fahrenheit was 1/4th the price what the Rip Ride Rockit was to build, and yet it is a drastically better experience!?
I just stumbled on these videos. I worked at the park, across from the coaster (in games) and i remember one day it got stuck right at that angle where it starts to go back in on itself at the top. and I hadnt seen that since I was a little kid getting on The Super Dooper Looper and it got stuck upside down. It's stuff like that that makes you realize just how intense these coasters actually are. I used to have nightmares that The Sidewinder would fling me into the air to my death because the Gs on that thing are SO crazy. Still love coasters tho!!
I loved this ride especially since I live in New Jersey, which is only about an hour away. Tbh it felt like the Hollywood rip rocket at universal florida
This ride is absolutely amazing. I went on this ride the last time I went to Hersheypark and I kept lapping it 7 times! This ride is so much fun. This ride is so much fun!
I did not like this coaster with the old shoulder harnesses since it really bashed your ears against them through some of those whippy inversions. It's so much better with the newer ones, as is Stormrunner! Really fun ride.
I was TERRIFIED to ride this because it was my first ride with spinning tracks, like I was on the verge of tears lol. But it was worth it because now I love rides like this
