Well not sure if you saw my previous post, where I mentioned I have to let it go because I have two little ones and the wife wants to park in the garage. And I don’t want to park the CRX outside, so here’s an opportunity to get one that people tell me looks brand new, and it drives like it!! I’m doing a no reserve auction on bringatrailer.com should be live in a week or two. I’ll post a link when I have it.
@@Restoflip We’re about the same age! I had 2 white CRXs (1987, 1989 (HF)). You totally get it. I currently have a 2023 A-Spec 6-speed Integra. But prior, I was driving a white 2014 CR-Z. Not quite a CRX, but nice! I miss it… all of them!
Thanks Erik. I did the video for a Bat.com (bring a trailer auction) so if you’re interested in it, I can help ship it to you. Auction should be live in the next couple weeks. Let me know!
I'm picking up an 89 si this weekend. All original, 112k miles. Just has some little spots of rust on the quarters. I'm beyond excited to get back into one.
Congratulations. There’s always a little rust somewhere in an old car. Just cut it out and patch it up, you should be good to go. I ended up selling this one for 17k. So it’s worth putting some work into them!
I had this exact car, purchased new in FL, shipped to and driven all over Europe while stationed in the Army in Germany from 1992-1995, installed rear seats only available in European models, and shipped it back. Also added trailer hitch to pull a Jon boat in 1995. Sold in 1996 with 126k miles (still running great) and replaced with a pickup truck. Today I have a 2-door Civic Si with custom leather interior but wish they would bring back the old style CRX just like this one. I’d be interested in buying this one or one like it.
Haha. That’s a great story. This one was originally bought in Florida! Could it be? Unfortunately a collector already purchased it to go along with his other white Hondas. Do you know the VIN of that car you purchased? Or do you remember the license plate number?
Don't call this car unsafe, when they are making "smart cars" and "F 500s". This car was and still is perfect to get you from point A to point B economocally. Also check into the CRZ as well, its not the same, but still not bad.
I bring this vehicle up to my wife all the time! When we first got married I didn't buy one because she didn't like it but I loved it!...... She's still wearing the pants almost 23 years later, smh. Help!
Haha. That’s funny. I’m happy to hear you’re still married. That’s amazing these days. Great job! I am putting this one on bringatrailer.com for a no reserve auction if you want to try again. Lol. It goes live in a couple weeks. It’s amazing how preserved it is! It has all the maintenance records and owner’s manual. I can post a link if you’re interested
@JJ Lawrence I'm now 41 and she's 42....4 kids deep...21,17,9,1...all ours....no use for that vehicle at the moment! Thanks for responding! Respect from Daytona Beach Florida!
@@Restoflip could tell you would sell it by the way you were talking about the car. You also flipped the back top cover with absolutely no care at all.
The idle is actually low in this car, that’s not normal. I can also hear a misfire on deceleration. I know this car is sold, but just saying the engine is not in perfect running order….
@@spencersgarage it runs so good as is, but you seem like a Honda expert, so I’ll definitely double check the timing. Thanks for your advice. Much appreciated

If they still made this car today in exact same way, I would still buy it.
It is so much fun. I never imagined at 18 and 45 I’d feel just as cool in the same car. It’s still so much fun to drive!!

Me too. My first car was a Red 91 Si and it still puts a big smile on my face when I think about it.
I'm an original owner of the same white and black CRX.
Mine is the 88 and it looks great and runs like new.
Best car ever made !
Timeless!! That’s for sure
Agree! And- lucky you, you now have a timeless treasure!!!

I had a CRX Si 89. Very fun car to drive. Thumbs up!
It was my first new car ever, so much fun to drive!
That’s cool. I didn’t get my license until 1994. But I wanted one of these so bad. They were so futuristic back in the day.
Hopefully I can still find a clean one when it's my time to buy one
I own a 87 Red si and I love my little car
Nice job👍🔥💯
🚙tough machine👍

1.5 engine
That has the 1.6 in it. When you look closely, I show it on the block D16
4 wheel motorbike
He much
That’s 1.8 L. Do your homework man!
Actually it is for sure a D16. I showed it in my video. When I zoomed into the engine block. I wish it was a DOHC 1.8…..that would be sick!!
It’s definitely a 1.6L SOHC, 16 valve 30+ MPG original Honda crx si engine.
