The contacts measure the ohms on the key and compare it to a preset amount in the computer. Gather all you keys and measure the ohms of the keys and get an average. Know go to radio shack or some place that sells the small electronic resistors. You'll only need one but it must be within 10% of the measured ohms from the keys. Now find the two smaller than normal diameter white wires coming from the steering column and cut them and then splice the resistor in to the wires coming from the dash board side. By doing this you are fooling the system into thinking that the proper key with the correct ohms has been installed.
I love this Park Ave, but much of the comparisons and commentary are blatantly misleading to make the Park Ave seem like it's more than it is. Gotta love early 90s American marketing!

Arguably one of the last good Buicks before the interior got crappy plastic everywhere and became rebadged Chevys and Opels.
