"I live in Turkey. Bicycles are very expensive here. Actually, everything is quite expensive. Can you gift me a bicycle? It can be your least favorite one."
Stunning looking bike! Considering moving into Tri for 2022, this bike will be on my list as long as it has a moderate price trim. Love the seat tube compliance and the storage features!
Hey Trek! You guys just beat out Cervelo (PX), Scott (Plasma 6), and Canyon for my next tri bike. First bike was a 2005 Trek 1500 SLR (tri bike is a 2010 Felt).
Totally agree. The reason we are given is the new “fad/science” that wider tires are “better”. The only way to do that is to get rid of the rim brakes. There are trade off like weight vs stopping vs aerodynamics vs rolling resistance.
I may just be a casual cyclist, but damn imagine screaming through rolling hills on that absolute weapon! My little ol’ fx could never and will never XD
Does this Trek accept 28mm front and rear tires? I'm wanting to build one like it but the Zipp wheels for better performance indicate 28 mm wheels. I saw something on the TREK website that the bike's specifications limit 25 in the front and 28 in the back.

Our speed claim comes from Kona race simulations that encompass total system performance (aero from the wind tunnel and rolling resistance from third party tests from Wheel Energy). We tested the 2014 Speed Concept with an Elite downtube bottle, a BTA bottle, and a behind the saddle bottle vs a 2022 Speed Concept with the aero downtube bottle, the new BTA, and a behind the saddle bottle. Both with 60mm deep rims with the same physical tube/tire on each. Also, both bikes were tested back-to-back in the wind tunnel at the Wichita State University National Institute for Aviation Research using Manny, our riding mannequin with a full body that pedals.
@@trekbikes But to be saving a certain amount of Watts, you need to be quoting what speed you’re simulating. If you’re doing a full race simulation the rider speed should vary greatly depending on the gradient and wind conditions, therefore the Wattage saved at any given point in time will also vary. Is the quoted 16W the max Wattage saving, average over the entire or something else? What speed is the rider travelling at in order to achieve a 16W saving?
Nice..too bad Trek didn't follow Canyon Sppedmax or Scott Plasma when it comes to better hydration integration.. Having it between extensions still has handling challenges other brands experienced with similar setup
@@trekbikes how, you gonna send him out both bikes? wtf. these brands cant even put up the cost for testing and they want average ppl to spend 30k to do the research for them
aka $200-300 per watt saved by the cheapest model. So many other ways to go faster! a custom suit, wind tunnel test to pick the best helmet for your position, lighter components, etc.
Awesome bike for sure but it costs 14k$. It's not Trek's fault but this sport has become way too expensive because of the quest for marginal gains and over engineered tech. Not a lot of people will ever get to ride this kind of bike.
Trek bicycles keep trading with rusian federation, keep supporting their athletes? International court officially called rusian activity in Ukraine - genocide. Genocide is a hard crime without any time restrictions. Trading with rusia - killing of Ukrainians
I've owned over 60 bikes and Trek is one of the most comfortable and best handling of them all. Comfortable= better performance.

I’m proud to be part of the Trek Owners Community
We're proud to have you in it

I've been waiting for a disk brake option. Finally!
I have a 2021 Trek marlin 5 and I love it!
🥊
I am proud that i am a customer .
Without customers what can you do?
Big fan of the focus on fit, adaptability, comfort, and storage. Good direction. 👍

@Vegan's R Silly you, apparently
I am a proud rider of a Trek Madone, and the speed concept would be a dream to fufill
This is one of the coolest/smartest bike ever. Good job Trek!
I started racing ironman just so I could ride a speed concept. no regrets

Best bike for deliveroo commands 👍
why does a triathlon bike need disc brakes if they only brake 2 or 3 times in a race?
Totally agree. The reason we are given is the new “fad/science” that wider tires are “better”. The only way to do that is to get rid of the rim brakes. There are trade off like weight vs stopping vs aerodynamics vs rolling resistance.
It's in my dream wall 🚴♂🙏🔥🚀
Absolutely Beautiful.
When will we get this on mtb?!?!
beautiful bike
Everyone is claiming they have the Fastest Aero Bike ever tested. No one humbly say they are second.
"We have ever tested" If everyone is testing only their own bikes, it makes it the fasted of course ;)
Thinking about buying this bike. I have the money, but is it worth it? Anyone here own one?
You basically need to be a millionaire to be a tri athlete
People are scared to spend 14k on a bike but yet don’t hesitate to buy a 25k on a car

What accessory are sold with this bike ? Which one are sold separately ?
Great video. What garmin mount is on the bike as I have recently acquired the BTA bottle but now not sure what garmin mount is best to use.
I have a Domane SL& and a BMC Timemachine RO1 2019, this bike looks a bit like my BMC in a few areas.
Wow. .beautiful bike. Someday I will earn. Morney buy this bike. .
I'm no road cyclist but that bike is cool man!
What is the handlebars hydration bottle kit. I’d like to get one.
Thanks.
Having built and tuned several.. Its a rolling tackle box that seems to have made a deal with gravity..

28 fits in front
I'm only interested in the UCI TT version... where is it?
TBD - but you know it's coming!
Does anyone know an indoor trainer for this bike?

Good looking bike
But where can you fit a front light?
We offer Blendr mounts to attach a Bontrager Ion headlight!
I'm a big fan of trek and proud to say I own a trek bike.
Finally! The speed concept is also releasing a disc.
A long long wait, is over!
I want to try
Where can i buy this?
16W Faster? Under what conditions?
I’m sure in a controlled environment for testing.

Wonder how long it took Gia t to design this
Love the new Speed Concept!!!
Mid October 2022🤞🏼is my delivery date.🥳
Cool. but any news on a completely new Madone?

but they are disappointing by not getting size in India

That’s great but you can’t actually buy one. 200 days out on deliver.

ok time to get my wallet, time to by this GORGEOUS bike
8.6 kg in the most expensive setup which costs 13.5k USD
9 kg in the cheaper setup which costs 9.5k USD

You would also buy 1 lolypop for 10$

It's cool, I only needed one kidney anyway.
The seat looks killer like ill destroy my ass on that shit 4sure
cheapest model is $8,900 :(
Think about the marginal gains from not being weighed down by that kidney you sell off to pay for the bike......ultimate performance!

why every company's video is so apple nowadays?

disc brakes for flat solo riding with no technical turning, wtf is wrong with ppl
Stop making videos and start building bikes
Bicycles were more or less perfected 5 years ago. Everything since then is a marketing ruse.
Please define “perfect” ... perfectly.
