I had a magnificent month in Morocco two years ago. Found it easy to get around independently. In the market in Fez the whole world gathered and jostled through the alleyways. Despite the chaos, I heard Etta James. Tracked it to an "everything" shop the size of a large closet. No common language, but we visited for three hours. One of the best evenings of my trip. That's the hospitality of the country.

So sorry to hear of your family member. Pray and either your love one you ND your family well.
Living without expectations of receiving is a great way to live our lives. I can add to that, and say that the giver gets just as much as the receiver. A win-win that the world needs. This remind me so much of a dear friend who had passed many years ago and so missed, had a mantra of, "when I help anyone, I don't expect anything back but you may wish to pay it forward"

I was born in '63 in Argentina, so being a child in the 70's was pretty cool. Always outside with friends, you knew everybody in the neiborghood and life was simpler and easier.
Lots of actual comunication when you were hanging out with friends, conversations until dawn...I had the best time, the 80' were fabulous for me as a teenager transitioning to a young working woman. I have my first cellphone and PC when I was 37, when I moved to Israel 22 years ago.A lot of that simpler and chatty life is lost unfortunately. But that's the way progress and technology works🤷‍♀️

I'm 36 and love that I grew up without smart phones and social media. I use social media and I have a blog but I hate that there are people who think that the number of followers you have define who you are as a person. For me, social media is a great way to meet others and connect with other people about topics I am interested in, this means that I am quite happy and willing to step away when I begin to feel negative.

I think that's one of the differences between NZ and the US. Kiwis are used to the idea of needing passports, visas and vaccinations to travel. Personally I wouldn't have a problem requiring a Covid passport to say visit Australia, but I would not be so happy about needing one to visit a restaurant.

This was so beautifully filmed and edited! I really enjoyed how engaged you are with your audience and giving such thoughtful answers. I think the question about how you deal with social media exposure was very poignant. I was born in the 80s and am so grateful to have spent the majority of my life thus far analog (I did not even own a computer in the 90s and I was one of the last generations to Not have computers in school at all). I am watching kids grow up now with all the pressure/anxiety that social media and constant screen time produce. I hope we can all strive for a healthy balance and mindset when using the internet/social media and spend as much time present in nature and in person with loved ones as possible. 🙏💕 Thank you for sharing your love of nature, the environment, travel and experiencing other cultures! I really like your perspective on social media. I was born in the early 2000’s so my life has been completely based off seeing tech development and whatnot and it’s really interesting to see what life was like before. There are so many great aspects of social media. For me, I found the Vagabrothers and that’s what got me interested in traveling. Who knows if I would have found that passion without social media? Even though many take social media too far, I think it can be a great tool.

I had one as well in the 90's when I travelled for 6 months through Africa. I'm really surprised that there is so much of a push back from people having one to travel in the future. The point of them is to prove you aren't bringing diseases into the countries you are visiting. Especially Developing World countries, as they don't have the same level of medical capability that we in the west do. From memory mine had vaccinations for Yellow Fever, Typhoid, Tetanus and Polio. I'm very happy to add Covid to that when we can travel again.

@@AlexanderAyling Part of the reasons why I decided to come back to Donostia and visit other small cities near it actually was the videos you made with your brother on the País Vasco a couple of years ago (on a side note, cold pintxos are now protected by a plexiglass but the hot ones coming out of the kitchen (the best ones) are still really good. Maybe even better now, as it is forbidden to eat or drink standing up in the bar, it seems that people working in the kitchen have more time. But the atmosphere is a bit different to be honest). So, for the question for another video, and only if it is not too personal, because you and your brother had such a good chemistry, how is your brother, and how is it to live so far away from one another now? Love your response to the Vaccine Passport question. If travellers need the yellow pasport to travel to other countries then it should not be a big deal to add covid-19 to that list in order to show that you have been vaccinated. Re the Pfizer Vaccine. I think it is the safest vaccines of all of them. My family (all over age 18) and I got our first Pfizer Jabs in June and the second in July and we are now fully vaccinated!! Sadly we still have some people here in Canada who refuse to be vaccinated, because they dont understand that to be vaccinated is to save your own life. Sure, even if you are vaccinated you may still catch the virus. But your body should be able to handle the illness a lot better than someone who is not vaccinated. It is mostly the non vaccinated who are ending up in the hospitals these days, being put on ventilators and/or sadly dying. Most vaccinated people may test positive, but they can stay at home in isolation and survive.
