Some stuff was covered on a previous video. Great write up. The game is so immersive and a fantastic game to play. Had it on Xbox and completed it years ago. Bought it recently on PS3and completed it got the platinum trophy. Enjoyed every minute. Currently playing through the DLC stories
It kinda irritated me that there was no suit or coat with a tie that didn't come with a hat. I liked the suits, but hats just seemed a little too much.

There's one in Jimmy Vendetta DLC in which the radio has an Advertisement on a new tech....a remote lol , they define it as revolutionary and high tech since you don't have to stand up and change the channel anymore , you can just do it sitting far away.
If it had more stuff to do like strip-club, interaction with people, a lot more bars and actual side missions, it wod have been perfect! I heard they cut a lot of stuff, hope that with a Remaster they will add everything...

Mafia 2 is easily one of my most favourite games of all time, definitely Top 3. I have so many fond memories of this incredible game. The brilliant characters, phenomenal story, awesome music, great gameplay, graphics that still hold up today, and the rich immersive world. Mafia 2’s open world feels more alive and lived in than most modern games do, even GTA V. The feeling of this is really helped by the attention to detail. I love Red Dead Redemption 2, but the things people were raving about in that game when in regards to detail, Mafia 2 has already done a fair few of them. I would love to see a remaster/remake of Mafia 2, and/or a Mafia 4 made with the same love and care that went into Mafia 2. With next generation consoles coming up, hopefully we may see it in a few years or so.
Mafia 2 was a head of its time. I loved it and still do. One thing i loved(it returned in mafia 3) was steering lock. No other game to my knowledge with drivable cars has ever introduced it. When you park a car up in real life and you leave the steering say to left, it stays to left because of steering lock. Mafia 2/3 does that. It’s a little feature but it makes immersion great in Mafia
StumpZ No, we already have pc which is capable of almost anything. Nothing about that is insane. There is no need for mafia 2 remaster too, JUST GO PLAY ORIGINAL. And leave remaster for games that actually need remaster.
There's also a mission(forgot which one it was since it's been 10yrs). Where you go into the sewers and get dirty. If you complete the mission while being dirty you'll get a cutscene where everyone in the bar stares at you in disgust. But if you decide to change clothes before you complete the mission you'll get a regular cutscene of you entering the bar normally and having a normal conversation.
Same thing happens when you blow up a hearse, because in the back there’s a coffin with a person in it. It’s weird how they designed it tho because the foot end of the lid is closed and the head end is open with just a floating head in it lol.
As a matter of fact people's reactions towards Vito are changing not because of player's progression in the game per se, but due to him wearing expensive suit - if he'll change it to his usual clothings, the reactions will return to the former "impolite" ones. Great vid!
This game is a work of art. The first time I played it was in 2016 ... kind of late. I didn't get his glory in 2010. But even then I was still impressed. The characters, the story, the city were all well thought out and became an extraordinary game. Years have passed and I am still glad for him. A remaster in the future with more missions and new things added would bring back the former glory. I hope it will appear in the near future.
This Gem was way ahead of it's time, at the time everyone was about GTA (IV), Crackdown and Saints Row. This game was under the radar yet still more popular than current games. I first played this game on 360 and was pretty amazed by how well it looked for the system, I bought it on ps3 years ago. Great video 👍
They need to remake this game from the ground up and then make the real Mafia III directly following the events of this game. This will give them a lot of money and give us a lot of joy!
It's a shame you didn't pick the PC version with enhanced physics. It adds tons of additional awesome details like debrees when crashing a car, improved clothing physics, smoke etc.

For example not enough interiors, you can't rob houses, no loan sharking any random people that would in real life would know who runs which town, can't try to extort any business you want, can't fly anything and i dont care if it's not apart of the story i dont believe in limiting gameplay, can't rob anyone like on rdr2, can't wear a mask, no strip clubs, no dance clubs, and barely anything extra to do and more.

One of my favorite details was the radio adds on how cigarettes are good for you and will keep you looking fresh and young. 😂 Also loved the one about how rock and roll music is having a bad influence on youth
There's one in Jimmy Vendetta DLC in which the radio has an Advertisement on a new tech....a remote lol , they define it as revolutionary and high tech since you don't have to stand up and change the channel anymore , you can just do it sitting far away.
If it had more stuff to do like strip-club, interaction with people, a lot more bars and actual side missions, it wod have been perfect! I heard they cut a lot of stuff, hope that with a Remaster they will add everything...

Mafia 2 is easily one of my most favourite games of all time, definitely Top 3. I have so many fond memories of this incredible game. The brilliant characters, phenomenal story, awesome music, great gameplay, graphics that still hold up today, and the rich immersive world. Mafia 2’s open world feels more alive and lived in than most modern games do, even GTA V. The feeling of this is really helped by the attention to detail. I love Red Dead Redemption 2, but the things people were raving about in that game when in regards to detail, Mafia 2 has already done a fair few of them. I would love to see a remaster/remake of Mafia 2, and/or a Mafia 4 made with the same love and care that went into Mafia 2. With next generation consoles coming up, hopefully we may see it in a few years or so.
Mafia 2 was a head of its time. I loved it and still do. One thing i loved(it returned in mafia 3) was steering lock. No other game to my knowledge with drivable cars has ever introduced it. When you park a car up in real life and you leave the steering say to left, it stays to left because of steering lock. Mafia 2/3 does that. It’s a little feature but it makes immersion great in Mafia
I’m praying every night they bring out a mafia 2 remastered and mafia 4 that will be my life complete forever 🔥

There's also a mission(forgot which one it was since it's been 10yrs). Where you go into the sewers and get dirty. If you complete the mission while being dirty you'll get a cutscene where everyone in the bar stares at you in disgust. But if you decide to change clothes before you complete the mission you'll get a regular cutscene of you entering the bar normally and having a normal conversation.

This game is a work of art. The first time I played it was in 2016 ... kind of late. I didn't get his glory in 2010. But even then I was still impressed. The characters, the story, the city were all well thought out and became an extraordinary game. Years have passed and I am still glad for him. A remaster in the future with more missions and new things added would bring back the former glory. I hope it will appear in the near future.

This Gem was way ahead of it's time, at the time everyone was about GTA (IV), Crackdown and Saints Row. This game was under the radar yet still more popular than current games. I first played this game on 360 and was pretty amazed by how well it looked for the system, I bought it on ps3 years ago. Great video 👍
They need to remake this game from the ground up and then make the real Mafia III directly following the events of this game. This will give them a lot of money and give us a lot of joy!
