PRAKTICA I started to be interested in analog photography thanks to my family; I loved the colours, the grain and the light of the pictures that my mom took with her old film camera when I was little. I was really invested in the process of loading film and also the excitement that came once the roll was developed. I’m currently shooting with a Pentax Espio 738 and I’d love to try new cameras🎞️

That's a great gesture and this camera could help a novice to learn the exposure triangle. I let my grandson use my Minolta Dynax 500si last week and he really enjoyed the experience (and the complements from my viewers). I think next he will get to use my OM10, followed by one of my Praktica MTL50s. I think the winner of your camera will really have fun in learning and will appreciate the quality of the camera. I got started with film photography myself in 2019. Now I host the Gen-X Photography podcast. Nothing beats a classic 35mm SLR in my opinion. And it’s a great way to learn photography.

Praktica I never owned a film camera but I would love to! I started learning photography back in 2020 and there's so much to learn, shoot and basically I have fun in every situation and like to experiment. Good luck to everyone!
For a complete newcomer being forced to work without an internal light meter can be daunting so my solution would be a Pentax Spotmatic or a Nikon FTN (preferably a FT2). Great cameras built to outlive their owner 😉. Also both systems have a wealth of extraordinary lenses which is very cheap.
Thanks for the comment Michael 🙂 In some ways I agree, but in the cold hard light of day I have experience at repairing and refurbishing Prakticas and they are inexpensive enough for me to be able to buy, check over, sort out as necessary and and donate.
Praktica - What I remember most of them is that they weigh an absolute ton, the college where I studied Photography had a few of them, but despite being thrown around still worked perfectly. If chosen i will pass this onto my grand daughter. Happy Snapping!

Praktica it looks awesome Great video as always...if i win the giveaway i would give that camera to my little brother...he is 16 years old and a big fan of photography...right now he doesn't have a camera so he is using my old iPhone 11... even with the camera on the phone he does a great job...even this profile picture of mine was taken by him...he celebrates his birthday in the middle of September and I think the camera would make him very happy

Thanks 🙂 I love to see kids reactions when they see the 'magic' of film. Somehow it seems more miraculous than digital to them.
