Such an eloquent, intelligent and impressive woman and voice for Palestine. Leila Khaled is truly inspiring, her wisdom and knowledge is so powerful and neccessary to clarify the scourge of oppression, specifically in the case of Palestinians at the hands of zionism.
I was most captivated by her recount and recognition of her childhood rejection of her situation, and those of her people. She understood the injustice innately. A message the resonates with me, to feel injustice, to be affected by it and to express empathy is universally human.

I’m from Pakistan. We are taught in schools that Palestine is illegally occupied by Zionist colonists. As long as Palestine is occupied and bleeding Pakistan will continue supporting Palestinian people and their cause. That’s why no one accepts the Jewish state in Palestine. Yasir Arafat Laila Khalid and now Hamas are the household of every Pakistani. During 1973 Ramadan War Pakistan was the only non Arab Muslim country which has send her best pilots to fight side by side with Egyptian and Syrian pilots. Not only that in 1958 Algerian, Tunisian and Moroccan leaders used to travel on Pakistani passports. It goes without saying that Palestine runs in our blood.

She is absolutely right about the Indigenous in the United States and Canada. In the United State government, the politicians and the bureaucrats are very much aware of the political and psychological suppression that is put on the people on reservations all across the United State. The individuals within each tribe are picked. Tribal governments are set up to serve the states they're located in and the federal government. In other words, the tribal chairman and the council members are merely shown as participants. But they have no cloud, powerless and useless...

Menachem Begin who led the Jewish militia that carried out the Deir Yasin Massacre and who would later become Israeli prime minister, in his 1952 memoirs, said that without Deir Yassin there wouldn't have been an Israel & that after it the Zionist forces could "advance like a hot knife through butter"
“ From Yadvashem, One can see Deir Yasin, where the Palestinian village used to be that was wiped off the map. In Deir Yasin village, 100 Palestinian civilians mainly old men, women & children were massacred by Zionist forces led by Menachem Begin
Early in the morning of April 9 1948, commandos of the Irgun (headed by Menachem Begin) and Lehi guerrilla groups, with the help of a small elite unit from the main Jewish defence organisation, the Haganah, led an attack on the Arab village of Deir Yassin, west of Jerusalem”

So her idealogy excuses hijacking two civilian airplanes in the '60s and '70s: TWA Flight 840 (traveling from Rome to Tel Aviv) and El Al flight 219 (traveling from Amsterdam to New York City)?
Note the mere 2-year period of residence for claiming refugee status: Palestine refugees are defined as “persons whose normal place of residence was Palestine during the period 1 June 1946 to 15 May 1948, and who lost both home and means of livelihood as a result of the 1948 conflict.” Of all refugees, they are the ONLY ones to perpetuate the status to all patrilineal descendants.
