Chelsea will try to sign a new striker during this window after they complete a deal for Joao Felix.
Victor Osimhen has been a target all summer but at the moment Chelsea would not sign him on a permanent deal.

I like the strategy. Spend a few hundred million on ready made players like Sterling, Koulibaily, Nkunku, Aubameyang etc, then decide that you actually want to go the youth route, so you spend around £1 billion on exclusively players for the future, then change your mind again and start going for ready made players again once you have over 40 players on the books. Smart. I can't see how this doesn't work out.
No way you are about to act like Chelsea haven't had a striker problem since Diego Costa left like 6 seasons ago. Literally the season Roman signed Lukaku they were in the market for Haaland (Dortmund called around 150) so Roman went the Lukaku route. The Joao deal had to happen for Gallagher move to ATM to actually go through (literally the main plan was to get Samu Omorodion instead but personal terms fell through leading to ATM offering Joao), and Gallagher being on the last year of his contract refusing extensions was not going to just be left to go on a free.
Neto was definitely needed as Sterling and Mudryk have both been lackluster players since their arrivals.

The 8 yr contracts is for amortization.. so that the cost each year will be too low....and won't be a problem annually.
