  • The Lossada family was sheltering-in-place in their Hilton Head Island, S.C., home due to coronavirus when they had an unexpected visitor in their backyard: "George the Gator." The neighborhood alligator was transported to a nearby lagoon.

    I've seen tons of Alligator relocations and this is the first time I've seen the Alligator not have its mouth closed, its eyes covered, and carried off into a transport. Also what was that dragging across the street bit? I guess it was Amateur Day for Gator wranglers.

    We have one named Pancake in our lake here in Florida. He just sum bathes and chills. No one feeds him and he is just fine

      Don’t be closed minded. A family with children are not leaving an alligator outside there house. They may also have a dog that they need to put out to to use the bathroom. Or a family cat that could be outdoor. They also push doors that are unlatched open at times.

      Sammy Sosa they didn’t cage him, they put him back. What’s the alternative? Pick up a 2-3m long gator and carry him? His underbelly whilst not as thick as his back is still thick enough that it wouldn’t cause damage besides, he needs to be by water because it helps them regulate their temperature so it’s all well and good saying leave him there but he could die if they don’t get him by water

    The video is a little confusing because it's out of order. The actual sequence of events was: the gator flipped the fire pit; they sprayed it with cold water to lower its body temperature and make it slower; they lasso'd it and pulled it out.

    1:46 that's the first time I've seen a gator dragged like that! Alligators are cool sights, never want to get to close to one though. I once got to see one during a presentation at the county fair and hold a baby. I have also seen them at the zoo in Madison. Cool stuff.

    It bothered me low the window was to house with the alligator thrashing around 10 inches below it. Low enough for it to crawl inside if it was open. I just saw a gator in Florida climbing a 8 foot chain link fence. So my thought process about gators is now skewed.
