@@anderx5433 Obviously not, since I've had my Auto-Dimming turned off for over a year now with absolutely no sign of any burn in what-so-ever, and the fact that there are plenty of other people on TH-cam who have had theirs disabled for 2+ years with absolutely no sign of burn-in. Burn in was a problem in early OLED models but if you watch videos on testing Burn in on OLEDs you'll see that they have monitors that have not been turned off for years due to testing, that have no signs of burn in and those are never turned off. With that being said, no it's not obvious and it's not acceptable to deliberately remove the ability to disable it even more so when your Auto-Dimming is pure garbage.
@@anderx5433 First off, if this comment is removed like the last one I'm blocking this channel from my TH-cam suggestions and feed. As far as reducing risk of burn-in, that's a myth and was only a problem during the early days of OLED technology. Go watch videos on actual ongoing experiments where some of them have never been turned off for over 10 years and still have no burn in. Also other's that have disabled this on the LG C2 have had it disabled since they were released and still have no burn-in. I've had it disabled for a year now, with no signs of burn in.
I don't know why you insist that you disconnect from the Internet if you don't want to install the update. Just turn off Automatic Installation and have enough discipline to not hit the Install button when you see an update notice.
I think of it as extra protection so that I don't accidentally update. Since I don't utilize any of the apps or online functions of the TV, this strategy is best for me. Thanks for watching.
I agree to an extent, one day my girlfriend turned on my C2 on update .65 and didn't understand what install new update meant so just clicked okay while I was at toilet. Always better to be extra safe I guess. But I believe even if you click install you can still cancel mid update if you did it by mistake and update takes a few mins so you have more than enough time for sure.
Well, I'm now really sorry I updated my C2 based on your last video. It did change everything and not for the better. I wish I had not installed it at all. Should LG come out with another update to fix the issues I guess I'll now have to update my C2 to that too, is that right?
Apparently TH-cam is Aggressively filtering comments and I thought he was filtering them, but I will admit I was wrong so that's what the edit was for. I jumped to conclusions, it's hard to tell anymore. (I'll say this, there is an aggressive propaganda campaign on this platform right now,
@@DeadPhoenix86DP Yeah I think your right, I guess I just jumped to conclusions because the Mainstream Media TH-cam Channels will filter comments for approval and only allow through the ones that align with their propaganda...lol...in fact just saying that may get this message deleted.
Please post a side-by-side video to see if there were any changes in image and brightness from one version to another.
It was on my TV but didn't do it. Good Job too. Thanks mate for letting us know.!
I just don't get why they want to prevent us from disabling Auto-Dimming to begin with.
Obviously to reduce the risk of burn in... what is there to understand?

I didn't censor any of your comments? I don't want to lose a viewer over a misunderstanding, but I appreciate you watching my content while you did.
Its TH-cam. Their automated system delete comments all the time. Its not the channels fault.

@@DeadPhoenix86DP Yeah so I just tried to make a comment related to the Filtering Algorithm and TH-cam deleted it instantly.
