    Came here to share a comment because it is the most recent video I came across of yours. I wanted to say, as a 54 year old INFJ woman, that your INFJ videos are exactly the tough love I needed to hear. I came back to watching youtube videos on INFJ today to get the mirroring that I
    hoped would help me out of action paralysis. I am so grateful for your direct approach. I have never liked sugar-coated anything (INTP fan!) and your videos really helped today. Thank you!!!!!!!! 🎉

    So the master function is the trickster function. That is good to know.

    Couldn't you say that the child starts out selfish and demanding like the teenager form of the parent, but grows into the responsibility and keenness of the parent as it becomes the youth function;
    The teenager (undeveloped parent) starts out critical and harsh like the critic/grandfather function, but becomes wise and discerning like the sage function and is able to be the parent function
    The grandfather/critic starts out clueless and senile like the trickster function, but becomes wise like the master function
    The trickster function starts clueless and naive like the child function, but grows to have hidden talents and have realizations that others would have overlooked like the child/youth at its best.
    Its full circle, I think.

    Should bring this up with your buddy Murcer next time you’re on his show. He and I have gone round and round on the topic. He claims it’s impossible to develop the trickster in any significant way, definitely not to level of mastery. :) Don’t bother with cognitive mechanics…but have those sources ready for Te 😆

    Thanks Chase! Those are one of those that makes you understand the general picture.
    Question: Can a person achieving mastery with his trickster function surpass somebody using that particular function as hero, even if he has the right input?
    Ex: ESTP basketball player and INTP basketball player both using Se.

    • @SirSpence99
      @SirSpence99 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      So yes and no. Master function takes a long time to develop so especially for things where physical shape matters (IE age) it is unlikely to be the case that said INTP would catch up before he gets too old.
      The other factor is that by default it will be more difficult for an INTP to develop Se than an ESTP so it is unlikely if they spend the same amount of time practicing the INTP will catch up.
      But, if the INTP does ever catch up, said INTP will be capable of going much further. (Ignoring physical limitations)
      So, theoretically yes, practically no, but only because you picked a sport. Had you picked something that age itself wouldn't be as large of a factor for, yes.

    Sometimes I just wish I could forget all these labels we put ourselves into, our archetypal understanding would have to expand before we can use these terms beyond stagnancy.
    Something doesn’t really sit right with this theory, what comes after mastery? Perfection? Transcendence?
    Can we really embrace humility, wisdom or mastery without realizing we are a particle amongst an infinitude of other equal particles? Can we hold that thought alongside the knowing that we are also simultaneously a wave?
    Still, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.

      My guess is mastery is a personal height and not an absolute

    • @lightheartedgardenia
      @lightheartedgardenia 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Even as a personal height it doesn’t necessarily come through a linear progression and it’s not objectively easy to judge. I definitely prefer Adlerian psychology’s perspective on freedom of choice. According to his theory in every given moment we choose what the past meant for us, how we look and judge ourselves and everything else, it seems to me that it means a singular shift of perspective can take us to doom or mastery and back in an instant.
      We can tie up as many pathways we want, cause and effect and still always part of a larger system. Even when the particle parts of us line up in a very logical objective way, there is always the wave parts of us that being neither subjective nor objective we fail to grasp.

    • @deltagamma1442
      @deltagamma1442 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@lightheartedgardenia I don't think Chase is saying anything different from what you mentioned. The idea of mastery isn't a state of constant mastery, but more so that you're more humble than not I guess. He even talks about the flow of the energy across different sides of the mind as transitory. Its a percentage distribution at any given point in time. The more balanced the more mastery. But its never static over long periods of time.

    • @lightheartedgardenia
      @lightheartedgardenia 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I know. Still you can see by the questions that rise up in the conversation that what he’s saying it’s not landing in a logical understanding but it a set of rules for judgment and that got me thinking about purpose and responsibility.
      Ps: I like hearing CSJ share his thoughts especially when I disagree on something, because it makes me think. ;)

    Dope episode, quick question tho. Is there any tie with cognition and the deja vu phenomena? I have frequent cases of strong deja vu premonitions throughout my life (Including now, which is why I’m asking). They may mean jack shit, and are just your brain guessing random patterns correctly momentarily. Or it’s just your brain tricking you into believing you’ve seen the patterns before. I’m just curious about your thoughts on deja vu or if you could tie it in with Jungnian dynamics.

Def surreal 😊 from what ive heard of carl jung and schronicity there is a connection between the two but that is my belief only and still learning about them so don't know fully.

    sure the values can be burned away, but they can always be rebuilt from our virtues.
    Where we left off: Divinity and Foolishness
    Truly I say to you, unless you change and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. So whoever will humble himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. - Matthew 18:3-4
    So why is the foolishness and ignorance of the Trickster fundamentally connected - and necessary - to the divinity and innocence of the Child? It ultimately comes down to humility. The Child is equipped to find the pieces of truth that the Trickster will lead it to because it is capable of profound humility. Whoever will humble himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

    What is believed? (Te)
    What is true? (Ti)
    What is good and fair? (Fe)
    What is valuable and worthy? (Fi)
    What is possible, what are the consequences? (Ne)
    What is my path? (Ni)
    What is reality and what is real for others? (Se)
    What has been my experience, what is my duty? (Si)

  • @davidpapojr8531
    @davidpapojr8531 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    The Se Parent and Ne Trickster share the same Battleground because actions (Se) lead to consequences (Ne) later. Se Parent knows the immediate reactions, but Ne Trickster cannot see what the long-term effects of those reactions will be. Ni Child must discover consequences, but they will only see the consequences as they eventually ripple into the present and pass through their Se Parent. However, as they develop their Si Critic and store the memory of what their actions lead to, their Ne Trickster can eventually gain some awareness of what the Ni Child’s intention might result in in the long term.
    What the Ne Trickster is trying to teach the Ni Child is that intention plays a big role in consequences. The Ne Trickster will grow as the Ni Child, through the shared Battleground of Innocence with the Si Critic, acts repeatedly until they remember what a past (Si) intention once lead to (Ne).
    The brilliance of the Ne Trickster is that it teaches ISxPs that possibilities are born both through intention (Ni Child) and past experiences (Si Critic) - which were once set in motion (Se Parent). In the end, consequences (Ne) are dependent on what is desired and intended (Ni). What is intended creates experiences (Se), which then become memory (Si), which then informs future possibilities. Even the source of originality is subject to that which comes before it.

    These cutting edge feels repetitive. And really backward, seriously you are writing Parent to Grandparent instead of teenager to parent. I would rather prefer a summary than you fumbling around to find something. I don't hate it it is just wasteful. Just say that the parent, child and critic combine to emulate trickster so that it reaches mastery which helps your superego understand and love. Instead of wasting 1 hour of my time.
