@@auntiedee3242 I know. But I also know that every single one of my friends that said they didn’t want kids, even after being married for 10 years, have at least 2 now. Caterpillar is one of the most forgiving controls of any skid steer I’ve ever ran. I ran one several years at a copper tubing mill scooping up scrap to feed a furnace. I averaged wearing out 2 buckets every year because we had to remove the scraper blade off to get scoop up bales and solid pieces of copper. Also had a grapple, chipping hammer, forks and broom sweeper for it. Very handy piece of equipment. Congratulations.
You'll get better and more skilled with time. A few attachments would definitely help with even more projects ) How exciting! So glad you 2 are back...glad you took a lil break...you were missed!!!
Haha! Yes, we’re very excited about the skid steer. And he is getting huge! The camera I feel like doesn’t do him justice. That boy is all meat and no potatoes. 😂
This is a smart move for y'all. Your parents are very wise in making this a family-use machine and entrusting you to care for it. Get to working and learning how to use it for all kinds of stuff
I have a few years of running one but I am no pro. All I can say is practice makes you better at anything. Keep up the great work and glad your back to making videos.
Man so many things are possible now with that skid steer! I noticed where you guys cut a lot of the cedars out that it has got very green! That's Awesome! Yall have a great day!
Glad to see you two back. Missed you guys. Glad your not as crazy as J.C. I know your good friends but he’s doing some crazy stuff someone is going to get hurt. He has to realize he’s a grown man
Thee #1 item all homesteads should have is a "skidder" (as we called it). You can get attachments for many jobs. From the wood splitter for fire wood to the fence post "pounder". The spire for round hay bales, to the forks for moving things too heavy for prople. They have a "rock basket" to scoop larger rocks out of the dirt, it rotates & excess dirt filters out, the rocks stay in the basket. Great for pulling T- posts too. Hauling dirt, stones. Smoothing areas. digging ponds & making small waterfalls or "creek beds". We also used it to move all the feet of snow out of the driveway and paths to the barn, and to the gates of the pastures. That makes taking care of the animals easier if you are not hip deep in snow. Cut a bucket of firewood everyday back in the woods & drive it right up beside the outdoor wood boiler to stack it. Love only handling it twice instead of 4 times. Great for building projects too. It can haul all materials to a tight area, use it as a material lift for 2nd story or roof work. I've even used it like scaffeling to stand in the bucket and work level with a taller project. Cleaning the loafing barn for the cattle. Or the horse stalls & running the manure to the compost piles, turning the compost piles. Just so much physical labor can be avoided by having a "skidder" available. Have fun with it. And remember it it starts bucking or tries to tip over, LET GO OF THE CONTROLS AND GRAB THE WINDOW CAGES ON EACH SIDE. Otherwise hanging on to the controls will make it worse.
Glad to see you back. What you need is a dry creek to flow into the pond. Making small ponds will create mosquitos. Your creating a swale. I made a rock swale to redirect water into my pond. My land no longer floods in places. Good luck to you! All equipment is fun to work with. You’ll get it figured out.
That skid steer is a game changer. You should take it to Jason’s property to practice leveling ground. He certainly needs it done there. Glad to see you’re back.
Wooohooo...a new video...thank you so much for sharing. I think it's great, Alex is learning to use the skid steer, as well. I pray your future landscaping business takes off. I wasn’t surprised to see Alex on it. I remember my first time on a bobcat when I was younger. It was a lot of fun. Happy for you guys. That will come in very handy.
Nice Jacob! That will definitely come in handy around the property! I would love to have one, but chose a tractor instead since it was more practical currently for our farm! Maybe some day! 😁
What a huge blessing from your parents. I love how you have a large family. My parents also had 10 kids and we lived on an 80 acre farm. Milked only 28 cows his whole life. Anyhow, congrats to all. Very nice. Greetings from Wisconsin. Karen

Awesome!! 😃 just remember you can’t drive that thing over a septic tank. You might want to price some tracks for that also, they will make a huge difference, they’re heavy and with the wheels to get stuck in the mud easily but with tracks you can usually get through it. Pallet forks are huge also and a grappler would be great but they’re more expensive, but once you get used to that you’ll be able to do so much it’s crazy. Congrats! 😃👏🏼👏🏼
Love me a skid steer.....one thing you will learn is to be careful when turning sharp in your yard as it doesn't take much to tear up the sod real quick like. Alex will learn to love this machine in due time!
