Long term fan here. Love the fact, that you’re spreading your wings into different parts of the world with your business. After Australia you should definitely look into the European market. I believe your best bet would be to ship your products from the Netherlands
@@AMMO-NYC I guess what he is saying is: If you want to have a base or storage in Europe for your products and distribution, then place it in the Netherlands. That‘s where the BIG BOATS are unloaded. Because if you are not so familiar with Europe: From far it might look like one place, but up close it‘s still a complicated mess doing business with all the dozens of countries, some in the EU, some not … ask me how I know: I am from Switzerland, proudly in the center of Europe, but we will NEVER be part of the EU. We are a bit stubborn ☺️!
Yeah I’ve drooled over the products previously, but the shipping currently just doesn’t work for me. However if there is expansion into Europe then a lot of detailing product companies are in for a fright. Fingers crossed one day!
Ford guy here in the UK. Rare car you have there. 345BHP (45 more than the standard RS) All were matt wrapped at Ford, 101 came to the UK & the balance of 399 shipped to only 20 countries. It was a heavy car for its time at nearly 1500kg but that didn't stop it hitting 165mph top speed.
That's only 3,300 lbs, not the lightest car ever, but with that much hp it should be able to do 165. The car in this video, the guy says it has 532hp, or something close to that.
I can’t believe you’re detailing this amazing RS500, been quite possibly my favorite car ever since before I could even drive and watched TG there’s not much content on them as to them being so rare. Thank you for uploading Larry!
I'm so happy you guys were honest about how the mess of the car was made. Unlike most youtubers "OMG THE CRAZIEST MUDDY CAR IVE EVER DETAILED" When you know this is the exact stuff they did to get it dirty. Love your work sir.
That’s a cool car! My dad had one here in Finland in 2010-2011, number 158 to be exact, if i remember correctly only 6 or 8 came to Finland. He had a Ultimate Green Focus RS in 2009 and got an invite to buy the RS500 as they got released. Love your videos! Living the ”Detailing Entrepreneur” life and your videos are always very informative and full of satisfaction! Greetings from Finland to you Larry! 🇫🇮
Pete seems like such a nice guy…and I like that he’s trying to build something where thousands of people can share their cars and his collection. I always look forward to seeing him on the channel.
Amazing car. Ford fanatics from Europe know how special this car is. Developed by Ford Team RS , it was the most powerful front wheel drive car in the world. It represents peak Ford of Europe performance cars.
I remember when my parents had a 2003 Ford Focus the way to open the hood was the same, i always felt it was very neat they did hide the hood lock behind the Ford logo, it's functional and cleans up the design.
yes all the MK2's were the same flip lock design, but UK ones also had the flip key on the regular Focus (before keyless entry), so just press button to access key and open.
@@marleymatthews7633 i know that Ford is quite popular in Britain and that these cars are loved there, but never in my life i looked at Focus or any other Ford and thought "ahh, Britain". Cultural differences i guess🤷
I remember seeing an RS500 on the Nurburgring. It was hauling butt and chasing 997 & 996 911's. It overtook us....we were in a 335i..... Those things are fast!
These are $75,000 cars in the UK. You never see them unless you go to Ford Fair at Silverstone. Great to see an owner driving it! Larry, it would be great if you expanded your products into the UK. There’s a huge detailing/concours culture here and would be great to get some new products to try!
Great work as always but I really enjoyed the back & forth with the client at the end there. Explaining the process you did, what to keep in mind, and even demonstrating the protection you applied. Love it!
I love your preservation-minded approach to detailing. It’s the most satisfying part of the job in my opinion. Educating your customer and getting them thinking about detailing in a different way. Killer video as always, thanks Larry!
Always a pleasure watching Larry work and the shop looks great! You've come a long way and the variety of cars you get is incredible. There really is something for everyone.
Amazing the journey that car detailing has taken Larry on. From knowing car enthusiast like this, to finding Lamborghini's in barns. I bet when he started, he never thought that a simple bucket of suds and water would take him so far.
Great job as always! I can't wait for the Lincoln! The older cars are my favorite on this channel. Watching the paint and chrome come back to life muah!
Brilliant As usual! What a blessed man to have such a car collection! I saw an older version of the Focus Rally in Bermuda in 2003 in the window of a car shoppe! It looked so cool! Europe and Aussies get all of the cool Fords! I’m still down and out with major bone necrosis in both hips. My pride and joy is my Fiat Abarth! It needs my love! It been sitting garaged for three years! I miss the weekly therapy session with just me and my Abarth killing the back roads! Funny you were looking at the Alfa 4C in this car collection, that’s my dream car. I could have gotten one pre pandemic for $33k with 2300 miles! Now they are In the $60k range…. One day, trust and believe all AMMO all the way!
What an amazing job. An old friend of mine had an F82 M2 Competition with a red matte wrap. That car was something else to wash. Love the videos Larry, keep it up!!
Back when Ford was out testing Focus RS mules in Silverthorne, Colorado I was lucky enough to see one of these RS500s in the test group. A car I wish they sold to the US market.
The colour underneath the wrap is Ford Panther Black metallic. It's a beautiful colour that really pops. I have owned 2 Focus STs (2.5 Turbo) in that colour.
@AMMO-NYC interesting fact is the standard RS only came in white. Blue and Green. The RS500's were specially painted in Panther Black and then shipped off to 3M in Germany for the wrap. Very special car and very expensive now.
In sweden we always use first a degraser petroleum based then foam with alkaline product as pre soak. Sometimes also iron remover. Schampo and then drie👍
They have one at the Ford test track in Lommel Belgium that is caged, they use it to teach people how to drive fast... Its also the car they take people around the test tracks to scare them in lol. Its always covered in dirt with nearly bald tyres from being driven so hard 🙂 I went around the facility with one of the test drivers, it was one seriously fast experiance!
great job, brings back lots of Focus memories, MK3 ST was the best I had, pity they retired the RS so soon, no MK4 for anyone. At least the US market got the MK3 model for a while, with AWD.
I just wished that the current Focus iteration would have the magnificent 5 cylinder engine available, instead of that abomination 2.3 cc 4 cylinder. The current model is so damn beautiful! And the Vignale trim is top notch!
I wish I lived closer to the Ammo Studio. I have a low mileage 2013 GMC Sierra in very rare Mineral Green Metallic. It looks like a green and gold bass boat.
Under the wrap is Panther black paint that was a European Ford colour at the time. Ford advised that the wrap be replaced every 10 years to stop it cutting into the top coat underneath.
Dream Car right there my friend. How Pete managed to get that into the USA is beyond me, certainly wouldn't be allowed here in CA, sigh. Thanks for sharing
Looking forward to the Lincoln. I prefer when you do barn finds, and older cars that need help. The Ferrari's are great and all, but the best cars are the cars you end up flipping, or the oddball ones you do.
Hey Man,. For me, it's hilarious. As being from the UK ( now Qatar ), everyone knows that about the bonnet/hood opening. Any way awsome channel, and you're a true professional, Sir.
Nice video as always, love the RS500 and would love to own one. Question regarding engine/bay cleaning. Are you not concerned with the cleaner/water getting into the electrics and alternator?
I always considered this Focus model name to be a bit underwhelming because I wished the 500 to mean horsepower, not the production number! It's so stupid! Other than that, it's always a pleasure to watch you clean cars. Thanks for sharing.
Cool Focus, and loving the Lincoln. Looking forward to that detail. But can we talk about the 740i Larry rolled up in at the open? Where have I been? My favorite 7 Series.
Can tell you from experience them bonnet catches break really easily 😅 I had to debadge my rs and relocate the latch using a kit from a mondeo as once they break they're a ball ache to open again😊
