His wife, Nicole, is not only his manager but also a passionate environmentalist and teacher. They've been together for over 11 years and have two children with a third on the way.

I have to say that this is one of my favorite interviews. I don’t really know if it’s even appropriate to label it as such because it feels more like an intimate and honest conversation with friends about their life. Nicole was spot on when discussing how you really feel after having a baby. I totally relate and I have always said this. It takes months to get to know this human you have brought in this world. You love them but you have no idea of who they are and have to get used to who you become. My husband also felt a loss of me and had to get to know a different version of me. I love the fact that she shared this.
I have never heard of them but I’m totally fascinated and obsessed with their lifestyle. I will be searching for their show.
As someone without kids who has always felt skeptical of those who claimed a euphoric and instant bond, I too appreciated this honesty! (And I'm also fascinated by their lifestyle-sounds magical!)

I was wondering if they were ever going to mention the fact that they were both married when they met. It is interesting that he never mentions the fact that he has 3 kids from his previous marriage, even while talking about not being ready to be a father when having kids with Nicole…? The only mention of their existence was when Nicole made the awkward comment about being a step-parent. Even in the HBO series, his other kids were barely mentioned one time in passing, whereas he seems devoted to his current wife and their kid.
And she was married for 13 days only!! Very confusing..
Wonderful! My favorite Love Fest interview so far. Very authentic and real people. These are folks I'd want to be friends with. Funny, insightful, not measuring what they say based on how it will be heard, just being the interesting, unusual, forthright people they are.
I’m in owe. I can’t believe how much I enjoyed this episode, I literally had no idea about who these two were and avoided this episode because of it, until I finally gave in since I was extremely bored. I ended up loving it! What I’m trying to say is that I really love your podcast 😂
I was SO EXCITED when I saw this title! Loved them on 100 Foot Wave and even though their relationship was covered well on the show, I still always wanted more. Shandy to the rescue! Also, I agree with other commenters that their realness and honesty around parenting is so so refreshing.

I loved this interview! I found you through Garrett and Nicole’s Instagram posts. I appreciated Nicole’s response to her feelings after having Barrel. Everyone accepts that childbirth is the most painful thing a woman can go through but the expectation of having a euphoric motherly bond immediately can be false and misleading. Most people when they experience a physically painful life changing event it’s accepted that you feel traumatized to some degree. Nicole’s willingness to voice that feeling after childbirth is so honest and authentic. Awesome interview.
I didn’t know them before this and am fascinated with the interview and all of you together. I’ve listened twice and want more ❤️

I wish I knew about the ginger oil 19 years ago when my son was 2! LOL So happy for Andy living out one of his manifested dreams! As a budding therapist, I'm delighted to see a couple who works and dreams together in such an authentic and seemingly effortless way. I appreciate the use of writing down their future dreams together and in turn have manifested/are manifesting together. Seeing their vulnerability and strength as this power couple was awe inspiring. Thank you Sharleen and Andy for sharing this with us!

Loved this episode and how real they were…. Not trying to pretend that they have a perfect relationship or have it all figured out.
They were so sweet! I loved the honesty and the fact that they've been together so long and know each other really well! Honestly I feel like where the people are from ie. the bachelor etc is becoming more and more irrelevant in each episode in the sense that it's just nice to hear from a couple that has a loving relationship even if I didn't know them before!❤️

Thank you so much for this. I had no idea who the McNamaras were and their story took my breath away. I have always believed in '"the one" and while it has eluded me I had tears in my eyes knowing they found theirs. The connection is palpable. Love wins.

I have surfed twice in my life so to say I am a surfer would be hilarious. I love it mainly as a voyeur, but on becoming a legit surfer I can still dream 💭 🏄♂️

I have been avoiding this particular love fest for awhile. I don't know this couple at all but they each look like other "celebrities." She looks like Jade, I agree, from the bachelor world but HE looks like Shawn of Shawn & Sara from Love After Lockup 😁
Another couple I had never heard of but I agree with a below statement that it's nice to hear from non Bachelor/reality TV couples as it feels more authentic (in the way that they aren't just trying to get more followers). I enjoyed their conversation and I have also always been honest about having a child- it definitely takes people by surprise when they expect you to say "Ohhhh I don't miss my old life at all! You should totally give up your freedom so someone can follow you to the bathroom and watch you pee for the next three years." :) Although I will say there were a few comments that I thought 'if you weren't a(n older) white man making that sexual comment it would never be acceptable.' I know it wasn't in malice but I cannot fathom my husband ever saying those things about me/us in a public setting. Great job to Sharleen and Andy again!

I was watching some footage of him, about to surf , his wife appears to be aware of the danger, but also supportive. ... If Philip Glass did the sound track for the HBO movie, it should be good. He did sound track for, The Illusionist with Edward Norton and Jennifer Beals and the Documentary, The Thin Blue Line.... ALSO.... Universal Health Care for all Americans, please.
This episode is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I mean, great that they found each other, I guess. However, it's so sad when people leave one family, create another, and seemingly forget about the other family that they created. This may not be the case but the decision to not discuss his other children seems like he no longer has a relationship with them. Also, why go on a relationship podcast and not discuss previous relationships/ marriages which are blatantly relevant to your story?
