Lucky enough to have grown up with Payne here in Springfield. He was a bit of a bully to me as kids but when he became famous, the three times i ran into him, he was kind, gracious and acted like we were old best friends (which of course, we weren’t). One night we were catching a late flight on a little plane back to Spfd. The only other person in the waiting area was Payne who was on his way to play in the Quad Cities (the year he won). He sat and talked to my wife for 30 minutes, ribbing her about marrying me! He made a lifelong fan that night and a woman who NEVER watched or had any interest in golf watched every tournament in which he played. His death hit our house, the city of Springfield and the Nation really hard. Miss you brother. ❤️
Although it’s interesting hearing his thoughts, Nicklaus was imo one of the worst and most self centered announcers I’ve ever heard in any sport. Even as a “guest analyst” he dominated the telecast and often made it about himself. Basically everything people falsely claim Johnny Miller did. But when ESPN took over ABC Sports one of the first things they did was cut ties with Nicklaus
Is there any reason you're not uploading the entire rounds? The Masters TH-cam page uploaded all final round broadcasts over the last 52 years in their entirety so why can't the USGA do the same thing? Especially now with people stuck at home. I don't understand why the R&A hasn't done this with the Open Championship and why the PGA hasn't done it with the PGA Championships that exist as well.
