The defensive turnaround in the last two games has been amazing.
The improvement right now is amazing, and the way the defense is setup it’s going to pay dividends. Taylor, Brooks, Nwosu all 25 years old, and of course the stud rookies Woolen and Bryant, and extra draft picks (top 5 let’s ride).
Rich is stoked about Pete and Geno, I don’t blame him ! They both deserve the credit💯
Woolen was neither a 4th round pick nor from UTEP. He's from the University of Texas at San Antonio and was the Hawks' 5th round pick. Exactly one pick away from where Sherman was picked back in the day...

I travelled from Manchester, England for the Cardinals game in Seattle and these boys aren't playing pretend here, we used to have dazzling plays and win ugly, and now we have convincing plays, and win convincingly!

Pete just pulled out grandma's secret recipe: Opportunistic defense, good running game, efficient passing and a team full of people everyone else wrote off along with hungry young rooks with tons of talent. Now, lets be honest here, no matter how the Rams or 49ers or even the Cards are playing right now this is a dog division and it always has been. Rams are defending, 49ers have one of the best defenses in the league and AZ with Hopkins back is no joke. My guess is this goes down to the wire, could be 9 or 10 wins gets this division, but nobody is out of it. It is just an amazing coaching job no matter how it turns out though, Pete has this team at a good ole' southern cookout right now. Wait until Woolen actually learns how to play corner back.

There is a ton of reasons to root for Geno after being a backup for so long this kind of thing just Rarely happens getting a chance after like 10 years 10 years of being a backup and not only doing well but playing like one of the best QB's in the game it's a redemption story.
This is as rare as it gets in the QB world. I can think of Rich Gannon and Trent Green as 2 dudes that broke out after being in the league for 10 plus years.
You're more likely to find a franchise QB in the later rounds than find a castaway that has been drifting in the league for 10 years.

@@leifleifsen8913 We don't have that much effective cap space. You also have to keep in mind that you don't have any QBs under contract next season. It's a lot less than what people think. Plus you have to account for 2 first round picks.
I think Pete wanted to go with Geno over Russ last year, but he didn't want to deal with the blowback that NY got when they benched Eli (for Geno lol), and didn't want to tank Russ' trade value.

As someone who up until about 2 weeks ago considered Russell Wilson one a Top 5 QB still it's quite painful as a big fan of his to see the Seahawks doing so well immediately after his departure especially while he's playing so poorly and Ol'Petey is chewing away with that grin of his.
How can we get Carrol to wear a chef's apron to the next press conference?
(He has to wear it and ignore questions about cooking.) That would be the epitome of trolling.
Our three tightends are far more than waiver wire players. If you did a proper study you would find the Hawks have a top ten tightend room. All three block very well and I can atest to how good Parkinson and Dizzly's hands are, I'm not sure of Fant yet as he is new, but I suspect he can catch.
Coach Carroll isn't the only one stoked about being top of the Divison....the fanbase is pretty damn stoked too

Pete's a great coach and I think he is just as he appears. He knows how fleeting it all is. He's not getting overly excited but he is keeping it positive. He get's the best out of his team this way. The Giants will be a tough match up but Pete would rather come into it the underdog and keep the hype to a minimum. Hype is a distraction to his kind of game. Pete knows where things are but wants to see is how far the Seahawks can get flying under the radar. Nobody expected them to get this far and nobody knows how far they'll go. It's all good. Go Hawks!
