to be honest, Aizen made a great point. The Victor of the war decides the world's future to how they WANT it to be, not how it SHOULD be. I mean, just look at our history, victors of the wars is always the good guys and the losers is the bad guys because thats how they want it to be.
Short term wise, yes. But Urahara is right in broader sense. One strong being can influence and reign over the world for some time or just come near this peak point. But the unchangeable law of the world is that there will always be power to overpower another power. Aizen wanted to overthrow the Soul King regime (which is really an Ichibei and and 4 noble houses regime) but then he'd be overthrown by them or Yhwach. To become so strong that you are a definite god that will rule and won't be displaced is unrealistic. Even in anime. I wish Aizen was more about trickery and schemes instead of being raw spiritual energy monster. Even his designs reflect his devolution from a need looking captain who is shrewd and crafty, to an ugly monster who's not subtle or creative, he's just wants to up his level and stomp enemies and look scary.
I think the genius of kido urahara was that he kept aizen's state where he was at his weakest and connected him to hogyoku - and thus hogyoku fulfilled aizen's wish that he had in that state - to be a regular shinigami
no the hogyouku no longer recognizes him as it's master, but that doesn't mean it will stop granting people their desires for example it's the hogyouku and Ichigo combined that facilitated the birth and growth of Orihime and Chad's power it's due to their proximity alone with it that their abilities were able to manifest so early even if they had become fullbrings at that point. Not only that but the hogyouku never acknowledged rukia as it's master and yet it still allowed to grant peoples desires. so no Kisuke was closer to the right answer than Ichigo as he saw the bigger picture not only that ichigo would only know how Aizen felt because of him clashing swords with him, but notice two things 1.) both Aizen and Urahara acknowledge that the Hogyouku has a will of it's own and 2.) Ichigo never once felt the desires nor the will of the Hogyouku he only theorized that Aizen was still in control. Two things can be right at the same time however Ichigo asserting that Aizen is in charge after that point has no basis, that and it would be impossible for him as the Hogyouku Aizen made had the Soul King's nail inside so since Ichigo wasn't even aware of the will of the Hogyouku means that he never felt the presence of the Soul King either.
