SixBlindKids - Harpers Ferry Family Road Trip and Puppy Update!

- On a cloudy day, the SixBlindKids family take a ride out to the countryside, past Lucketts where Mom did her "vintage hip" shopping trip and end up in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. This is a typical family "drive-by" vacation! it was late in the day and we had already spent our morning out and about at Lucketts (see this video: • SixBlindKids - Mom Goe... ).
We make a stop at Chick-Fil-A,; Mom and Abi just went there on a special day out recently (see this video: • Blind And Special Need... ) and then check out the historic district of Harpers Ferry, where the Shenandoah River and the Potomac River join into one into the Potomac.
Mom and Dad give a rescue puppy adoption update, then everybody enjoys some huge "kiddie" ice cream cones and cups at "The Drippity Cone" in Boyce Virginia (near Berryville).
For our blind and visually-impaired users, during the music-only segments, the video is showing fast time-lapse GoPro footage from the van windshield of our road trip, the green countryside, hills, mountains, and rivers.

I was wondering, do you read the comments to Hannah, Bethany and David? Do they use a device and what do they generally think of them? Seems really interesting for someone blind from birth kind of picture and comprehend TH-cam!
We do read them out loud like we just did with yours! We are having dinner and they find these comments very entertaining! LOL! To be perfectly honest, Andrew, Bethany is the only one who reads them herself every day on her orbit reader. Each of the kids enjoy different aspects of being on TH-cam, but they are all having fun! 😉😄❤

It kills me that there are so many loving families including yours who is willing to take in a sweet puppy from the pound and to be told no...Ooooo it just makes me mad and sad. I do want you to know that I wrote them a letter explaining how I feel and expressing how horrible they are discriminating your family is down right rotten. So many furbabies need homes.. That's so cool you was here in West Virginia. I have lived in West Virginia my whole life. Sadly you was 5 hours and 11 mins from where I am. I live an hour from Charleston at a small little town called Whitesville. Oh no dad was caught lol 🤣😂. We seen that Joe! Love this channel so much but like others I don't have a favorite I just love all of you the same. Like I said before when I'm feeling down I watch this channel and it always makes me smile. Oh and about the video being to long no way that's in possible if ya'lls videos was 2 hours long I'd sit and watch the whole thing from beginning to end 😊. Much love to you all. Hi LaAngel! Yes, in the bible Obed is the son of Boaz and Ruth. He is the father of Jesse and the grandfather of King David who had a wife named Abigail..see the pattern? Obed's birth family named him. David's first adoptive family named him. We named the girls and DID spell Jesse's name accordingly. The boy's names kinda blew our minds when we first found our about them and helped us see it was meant to be. We did change their middle names...😉😊❤❤❤

I enjoy watching your channel. I love how Hannah laughs a lot and has a great outlook. I like to watch Obed laughing and showing his happiness and Jesse singing. David is so smart and a good brother. Abbie is so sweet too. Bethany has great comments too. Virginia is beautiful! I hope to visit some day. I live in California with my 16 year old son who has high functioning autism.

@@bubblebubble365 Oh...YT stats about videos..They say 10-12 minutes is about right. I don't think they recommend the longer ones so much, either. Not hard and fast rules, just parameters for what works.

What a beautiful family drive, the scenery was gorgeous! It looks like the kids enjoy going for drives which really surprised me being they can’t admire the scenery. A couple of my kids like going for drives as it is a good way of getting in a nap but yours didn’t seem to be sleeping either.
I watched every second and could watch longer! Get a friend to adopt the puppy but give it to you. 2 can play the game. So sad for Sadie.

What bothers me the most is that Sadie is STILL there in a cage, only receiving interaction when absolutely necessary. Had she been placed with your family, she would be receiving love constantly, snuggled in a warm cozy home, learning how to become an amazing family pet!!! It’s soooo frustrating, their JOB is to do what’s in the best interest of the pup and they did the exact opposite. It disgusts me!

Great video as always! I'm also lactose intolerant, but ice cream doesn't always bother me (I know everyone's different); I do try to get lactose-free and/or ice cream made with coconut milk or almond milk and it tastes great!

Oh that makes me upset for you all! That poor puppy. What you should tell em is if you have the mental and physical fortitude to raise, love, feed,and care for six children, never mind the disabilities then I darn sure think you can take care of a puppy! What a fun video! I don’t mind at all your videos are longer than most! You know, my brother breeds English springer spaniels. I’m betting I could pull some strings and get you a puppy when he has a litter if you haven’t found one yet. He only has one male and one female and they are part of the family and not caged or kept outside. Both have amazing temperaments and are really sweet! Transitioning one of them to your home would be easy. My brother has 4 kids under 15, watches my sisters 1&3 yr old regularly, and has other pets, including a 17yr old yellow lab, they got as a puppy. They take excellent care of them. They have a fun loving but chaotic home. We would have to figure out a way to get it to you. The one rescue here coordinates ride relays for rescues, so I’m sure we could figure something out! If it’s not the kind of dog you are looking for it’s okay I just thought I would throw it out there.
I was happily watching the vlog when I almost couldn't believe I saw my hometown in the car ride time lapse! It was so cool to see you guys drive through Brunswick, MD :) It was a total "oh my storms!" moment :)

It was so interesting to see the leafy countryside and historic district. I liked the sped up camera work you did too 😀 and I like the “so much fabulousness” length videos. I also think #vlanting is good. So....the van. We had started an executive car service during Joe's unemployment years. The van was used for larger groups. Our son, Joel, now owns the car service. We bought the van from the business last year. We LOVE that van and will probably buy another one when it is time- maybe a smaller one- because you're right! Boy, does it come in handy!!! See...there is a story behind everything on this channel! LOL! 😉😄❤❤❤

Growing up in hilly, green and lushious Sweden, living in Muncie, Indiana for a while was torture. I remember taking the train from Indianapolis to the east coast with a Swedish friend and how our spirits brightened the closer to the green of the east coast we got. It was a very interesting 20 hr train ride.

I'm glad you guys had a fun road trip. Did your husband do all the driving? (I am a non-driver myself). Is the steering wheel on the right side of your car? The way the video was it was confusing. Lol ...just curious. Anyway,, the ice cream stop was cool. Eating it on a rainy day is always nice. Can Obed eat sherbet? I asked Alexa if it had milk in it, & she said "no". She called it "sorbet" though, so it might be different.

My my daddy is from West Virginia my Mamaw had 15 kids and my papa was a coal miner they lived up in the hollers of Kentucky and West Virginia and now I've got family scattered around everywhere Mamaw used to babysit Loretta Lynn when she was a little girl and Ricky Skaggs is my cousin so I have a lot of mixed emotions about this video I I absolutely love this

It's only been like 5 days! LOL!! We started out posting more, but you wouldn't believe how hard that is! If we have a really busy week, you may only see us once, but usually 2 or 3. We have a few in the que now...you are sweet to miss us, though....❤❤❤😉
