Hi Ina. Here’s another orchid that was on my Wishlist for such a long time and I procrastinated about it for a few years until I felt it was too late to buy one and possibly get it blooming some time soon. Thanks so much for sharing the beginning of what I hope will be a successful growing on of this wonderful orchid.

that new plant u thought was a keiki isnt a keiki, its same type of growth as oncidiums and such. technically you can make them into sperate plants as long as u have roots on it

I love Neofinetias! So sad you lost some after all the hard work. Have you considered self watering with leca for NEOs?
For the longest time I was afraid to get one because I hear they were hard to flower. I have 4 now and I just had one in spike a few weeks ago! Love Neo hybrids too… I may have 6 hybrids 🙈they’re sooo tiny and addicting!

I can’t seem to keep these alive when it comes to winter.

care to share what your care is like? Ive had them for two years now without issue. The one thing in winter is to not water them as often. I let them get crispy dry for a few days before lightly watering again. They survive snow in Japan and the blistering heat - the watering is key.

I usually water them less frequently when the temperature drops. I hope you manage to grow them

@@oneorchidadayI lost all the ones I had last year even when I reduced watering. I do think I have an issue with this white mould stuff tho. I got 3 new ones this year in moss and under a grow light.
