I live in a state that does not require a front license plate so I need a tutorial in how to remove the bracket. I have already removed the screws but not sure how to release the snap-in lower edge. I don't want to risk damaging my car so would appreciate a word or two on this.
Hi! Sorry for the delay. I would ask your service department to remove the bracket for you since it does snap into place and they are more familiar with each version. Thanks for checking in with me.
Hi! The screws will come with the bracket. If you need additional screws, please check with your Lexus Service or Parts department so you get the correct part for your model and year Lexus. Thanks so much for being here!
The back plates have open pre-drilled holes for the screws that hold the plate in place. It is much more straight forward compared and does not require a special bracket. Thanks for checking in.
Hi in the US, we only have the standard smaller plate bracket pictured in the video. I would check with the parts department at your Lexus dealership to see what they have available for the longer style plates. Thanks for tuning in!
Hi Jennifer, Sorry for the delay. I am waiting to hear back from the person who orders our parts for the bracket install, but he has been out of the office. As soon as I hear back I will let you know.
Me again. According to my Parts department Phillips pan head M6 -1.00x16mm is the most common fit. I hope this is the correct item you are looking for. If not, please reach out to your Parts or Service department at your Lexus dealership since they work with the mounting brackets daily and are much more familiar. Thanks again for tuning in!
Once the mounting bracket is installed, the knockouts will no be empty holes. They are kind of small, but would probably still be visible depending on which model Lexus you have and what the grille style it. Thanks for checking in.
Hi! Thanks for checking in! I am wrapping up Part 2 of the TX first and then I will be able to work more on the GX deep dive. I know everyone is very ready! Thanks for your patience and for tuning in to learn with me!

What size are the license plate to mount bolts? Mine didn't come with any unfortunately.
Same here. I found a document that they are M6x15mm, for my LX anyway. I’m sure they are all the same.
What size screws are used to mount the tag and cover?
