Americans are also ending wars. Special kinds of Americans. Some want to destroy history and culture but most of them don't. America is truly the last resistance against a nihilistic and dull world void of culture
???? You have no idea who or what you're talking about. Regurgitating the lies and propaganda of the corrupt biased mainstream media does not make it true....
Thank you for your kind words! Loads of pressure to get things right. You won’t be disappointed in subsequent episodes as we bring in additional Churchill experts!
I remember that Aristotle spoke about the positive effect of putting on fragrance at the start of each day, uplifting and invigorating the mind and spirit.
Looking forward to the rest of this series and it's important to mention how his life as a military officer influenced his views and style alike. Churchill joined the British Army in 1894 and saw action from Cuba to India to South-Africa, writing books about his experiences. Becoming a politician he even re-commissioned as LtColonelfor the first World War narrowly escaped death in Belgium. Between 1919 - 1935 Churchill enjoyed a deep friensdship with Thomas Edward Lawrence "of Arabia". In later life Sir Winston Churchill certainly enjoyed the good of living grand like "God in France" as he painted many scenes at the French Riviera and Provence region. Curious to see if this series will also elaborate on Churchill's wrist watches Lemania and Rolex. A great celebration of his 150th anniversary but January 2025 will already mark the 60th anniversary of his passing...
I’m so glad I stumbled on this video! I’ve never been much of a wearer of fragrances, however after seeing this video and learning the amazing backstory of Special No. 127 I had to order a sample bottle to experience it for myself. It arrived today, and I’ve absolutely fallen in love with it! I’ve never experienced a fragrance that has so many different distinct notes that blend together so well, and can also be identified individually when trying to. Thank you for the wonderful recommendation, and I’ll be ordering a full size bottle. I cannot recommend Floris enough!
Absolutely loved this well done tribute to the great man. Kirby is a legend himself to be making such high quality content. Thanks so much for celebrating Churchiĺl's classic style and what it is to be a gentleman. Would be great to see this as a series with fashions of other great men that have shaped the world.
Thank you so much for your positive, and truthful, portrayal of the man. I get so weary of the downright lies put about by Churchill's detractors, especially the ludicrous claim that he deliberately caused the Bengal famine during WWII "because he hated Indians". Thank you again for your fairmindedness. You are a true friend of Britain. @@kirbyallison
Thank you Kirby for a fantastic voyage into the life and times of Winston Churchill. Also thanks for taking us into Floris London and discussing Floris 127 . I wear No 89!
Love that you've interviewed Blandford! He's got that long regal neck that his grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandmother famously had!
The foolish few haters in the comments are as silly as their words. Lies and delusion, they try to spread.. These few haters, couldn't manage a lemonade stand, let alone a country in a war... This is very well done video Kirby....Thank You, for sharing and educating, with your Passions..
I finally got around to ordering up a bottle of Floris No. 127 from Kirby as a way of saying thanks for doing this video. I may not be the same measure of a man as Winston Churchill, but at least I can smell like him, lol. Thanks as always, Kirby.
Great video Kirby. When speaking of "taste" there is something to be said about it not always being expensive. I hold here as I watch this, a Mercator folding knife from Germany, the famous "Kat 55" knife. You can get higher steels, more expensive handle materials, but where else can you get a Kat 55? Nowhere! There is only one classic with its' history. Same with Opinel knives, if you want an Opinel then only an Opinel will do. Sometimes classic taste is just as much about history as about expense.
Do visit Chartwell. As a man he had his flaws but when you see the French saying thank you, as you do in Chartwell, you understand a bit more. His style and tastes were second to none. We are here to hear about that.
As I notice the white inserts on Kirby’s waistcoat… I hear Nick Foulkes saying about the “highting of the formality” as he addresses it in one of their previous videos 😅
Absolutely grand! Question for the viewers: could anyone recommend a good biography (book) of Sir. Churchill? Ideally something balanced that doesn't just portray him as a flawless hero, but objectively tells his story. Thanks! And well done again Kirby! 👏
Dear Kirby, this video is fantastic and insightful as always although I hope you have something with Edward and Eddie up your sleeve. I’m really starting to miss this duo! Best regards.
Great video and even greater production quality. Thanks a lot! One question: what is the music at 27:58 when London is shown? I assume it's some cello piece?
Of course we focus on Blandford's British heritage but he is also the 5x great grandson of the Gilded Age American Industrialist "Commodore" Cornelius Vanderbilt and a distant cousin of Anderson Cooper And of course, Winston Churchill was the son of American Gilded Age heiress Jennie Jerome
Hi Kirby, just curious as to where you get your Cuban cigars from. Heard you mention I think in one of your videos Montefortuna cigars. Is there anyone else you recommend that ships internationally? Any help much appreciated. Keep up the great work.
34.17 min master class somelier. Dude opened up bottle of champagne without any noize or heez. Client should not hear or be disturbed by sound of the cork
Does anyone ever discuss the effect of his American socialite mother's role in his development of style? And the role of her father's money in supporting it? Yeah, he's the quintessential Brit but he was also half American...
@ this old school gang banger would wear No5 when he’d come in the club I worked at….this was about 20 years ago but anytime I smell No5 I think about what a rad dude JMac was. It’s such a player move, girls don’t wanna smell they musky axe-like smells either. Because of your comment it prompted me to buy some for my lady! Good stuff. Happy holidays friend.
A great idea for a series but I do wish that Mr. Allison would take the time to learn how to properly pronounce British names. "Churchill" is one word. It's not two words. The "h" is basically silent; it's not "Church-hill." It's "Church-ill." Also, the Duke of Marlborough is pronounced "MAL-bur-uh" not "MARLborough."
Sad you didn't feature Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet, named & made for his family, and famously worn by him. We all know you sell Floris too, but as a Churchill fanatic, this missed the mark.
Wow, yet again an American making me appreciate my British traditions & heritage more... just amazing Kirby.
Well they are trying to breed it out of us here they now teach Churchill was a bad man at schools.
Americans are also ending wars. Special kinds of Americans. Some want to destroy history and culture but most of them don't. America is truly the last resistance against a nihilistic and dull world void of culture
He's not American, buddy
@@Scudelpip I think he's referring to Kirby, who is from Texas.
@@CraigStokes73haha. Yes. I’m most certainly from Texas. But in this case, very much afar…
An Icon of British Heritage! Thank you Kirby for this featurette! One worthy of production!
Kirby, the production quality of these videos is absolutely unmatched! Proud to be one of your customers
Thank you for your support!
Love these travel/history series! Keep them coming!
THIS IS SO WELL DONE! Please do more of these episodes!!!
This is what History Channel should be making! Great job Kirby and team!
Kirby... you are bringing Churchill back to life in a way few others have; well done!!!
Churchills speech always brings a tear to my eye, it makes proud that my grandfather fought under his command
Absolutely fabulous insight in to the luxurious lifestyle of Britain’s greatest PM!
???? You have no idea who or what you're talking about.

Beautifully done. As an avid student of all things Churchill, bravo, and thank you Kirby for sharing this journey with us.
Thank you for your kind words! Loads of pressure to get things right. You won’t be disappointed in subsequent episodes as we bring in additional Churchill experts!
Very well done, Kirby! I loved going through time in this episode and seeing the brands and products that Winston Churchill favoured during his time.

What a beautiful and well crafted video. Love your channel Kirby
Brilliant programme. Very well done.
A masterpiece again Kirby, thank you!
Very kind!!
What a truly wonderful series. Much to learn from and much to aspire to.
Excellence once again, sir.
Phenomenal. Thank you for what must of been an immense effort to put together this masterpiece. Thank you.
37:50 mark. What a pleasure to see such a nice bottle of Champagne opened. Def. Worthy for all to witness.
I' m fascinated with perfumes!😊
Just amazing

Bravo Kirby! I look forward to seeing the next episode.
Thank you!

Well done, Kirby!! Excellent film. Really enjoyed your journey of history great Sir Winston Churchill! Greetings from cold Irkutsk!

This could be an episode of a TV show. Great production and content, well done!
Churchill's habits and longevity are evidence to me that one's long life is not entirely of your own making.
Great video, Kirby! Cool camera work :)

The distinct scent of BOOZE, permeates his garb

Love the style of the vest dude
Superb video. I wonder what Churchill would think about the British Isles today?
"So, Kirby, where do you live?" "Oh, London, and Texas whenever I get around to it." 😂
As I notice the white inserts on Kirby’s waistcoat… I hear Nick Foulkes saying about the “highting of the formality” as he addresses it in one of their previous videos 😅

Let a man gamble long enough and he - eventually - will have success.

Is it just me or has Kirbys voice changed? Not had the time to watch his videos in a while but seems different. Also a slight weight loss?
Chirchill was at times destitute from spending on such items. His accounts regularly overdrawn.
How much I wonder was the price of a bottle of 127 then, and the price now.
And how the formula would have changed
34.17 min master class somelier. Dude opened up bottle of champagne without any noize or heez. Client should not hear or be disturbed by sound of the cork

Man I want to dress like Kirby some day
Winston Mother was born In GOOD OL BROOKL:YN ,before big baseball .
Does anyone ever discuss the effect of his American socialite mother's role in his development of style? And the role of her father's money in supporting it? Yeah, he's the quintessential Brit but he was also half American...
I very much think George is a Marquess and not a Marquis.
Interesting watch, he was indeed multi-dimensioal, he was also a colonialist
All the major European powers were colonialist, not just Britain. What's your point?
London video without a scratchy voice, what timeline are we in??? Can it last until the Eddie video that has to be coming??
Sad to think that all of this tradition will be gone in a few years, as the UK implodes. Thank you for documenting.
Kirby, why do you tie your ties in what I would consider, an odd fashion? I didn't know that the back piece was supposed to be longer than the front.
It's the private school boy tie style
Sprezzatura?
Did Kirby have a hair transplant at the front of his hair it seems more fuller
Never really understood men wearing “masculine” scents; I’d much rather the scent of a beautiful woman stimulate my neurons.
Then you should wear channel No5
@ this old school gang banger would wear No5 when he’d come in the club I worked at….this was about 20 years ago but anytime I smell No5 I think about what a rad dude JMac was. It’s such a player move, girls don’t wanna smell they musky axe-like smells either. Because of your comment it prompted me to buy some for my lady! Good stuff. Happy holidays friend.
with any doc on Churchill always, always, always use a narrator with a British accent... I can't take it serious otherwise
No, WSC was not seen as part of the establishment, they mostly disliked him
And one does not frequent a brand, how could one ?
