S blast without a doubt is one of the best weapons they ever added to the Splatoon series in general. Picking it up not to long ago, its super addicting.
I've never really played blasters a whole lot, but after trying out the s-blast the day it released, it instantly clicked with me. I've been playing it regularly ever since, I agree it's addicting

can concur!!! picked up blasters in s3 and sblast is like a third of my playtime compared to every other weapon. playing blasters in s1 must have felt amazing. This plus intensify action for other blasters have been needed for years

What sucks about the kit most of all imo is that slider is fine on it and actually has decent synergy, its just the sprinkler that ruins the whole package

I agree, we have to remember Splatoon devs are trying for the most part to make every weapon have a unique kit regardless of it's competitive viable or just for fun while still being somewhat balanced which can be hard to do consistently for all palyer skill levels.
I hope we get a good kit next too.
Conversely
Sprinkler would be fine if it had a powerful value special like Inkjet or Booyah Bomb
So it's not that the blaster doesn't synergize with its sub or special
It's just that the sub and special don't synergize with each other
The kit doesn't really work that well imo. Reefslider is pretty much the worst special in the game, and all people use it for is zone cheese. Sprinkler is pretty much only useful for passive paint, which isn't what s-blast wants, since it's so aggressive

All of the new main weapons they’ve added in the DLC updates have been on-point!
I just kinda wish that Nova was a 4-shot.
Nova would be at least mid tier for me if they made it a 4-shot, and buffed the accuracy

Sprinkler rework idea: holding R makes your character hold the sprinkler in front of them in exchange for a slow drain of your ink tank, blocking shots until it breaks. The sprinkler would also be solid while it's flying through the air so you can begin shooting with the sheilding property still active.
this would be so cool but oh my god, sprinkler kits would instantly become insanely top tier lmao. Giving weapons a defensive shield option others do not is not a recipe for balance unfortunately

Chara is the only player i know to use reefslider and make it look like an actually decent special
S-Blast is extremely fun even with a pretty mid kit, I _really_ hope it gets a more fun kit in the future to truly unlock the absolutely INSANE fun potential this main weapon has

I think (Hot Take) reefslider is good. Maybe not the best on this weapon but in a team fight, it forces people to move or take a one shot to the face
Naw, a lot of other specials do that better. Reefslider is only good against enemies with low mobility, either because they are hitting their own special, or because they are backed into a corner, etc. The rest of the time reefslider does nothing but get you killed. They need to shorten its startup time or expand the blast radius again to make it somewhat decent.

Whenever I play S-blast I can never hit the Aoe shot but I always land the indirect on the long range shot for some reason

So we can all agree on 2 things?
1. Slider is objectively a good special, when playing solo.
2. It legit just beats specials outright on reaction *looks at stamp*
Just buff stamp tho for a smaller window of damage. Cuz edit and splatlings honestly invalidate it.

This brings back Memories when I was a Stamper main. Then, I broke my switch lite bc I lost a 100x battle for team Nessie. I hope I can regain a switch lite so I can go back to playing Splatana Stamper. Thanks for the memories!
S-Blast is one of those weapons that, while I don’t particularly main or use on a daily basis, i consistently find myself coming back to playing because it’s just a breathe of fresh air from other blasters, and most weapons in general.

I want to get into playing this so bad
prochara, i play on sticks and i dont want to learn motion because im used to moving my controller during games for comfort. Do you think it will be possible for me to reach ranks like s+?
I’d say you could, but it really depends on the weapons you use. Motion on some weapons is basically required to do some of the things they want to do (shooters gain a massive mobility buff, chargers can flick shots, slosher can use its tail hit box, etc.) but other weapons can get along just fine, (such as rollers, Splatlings, and aoe).
@@DotApricot I would exclude splatlings from that list. While most of them are not pinpoint accurate, they do require good aim and tracking to actually hit anything decently agile, which is 90% of what you're going to be shooting at.

As a range blaster enthusiast, I played s-blast for the first time this week. I *immediately* noticed its delay before it switches back to the grounded firing mode, and it's the only reason why I don't use it more.
