- The Washington Commanders handed the Philadelphia Eagles their first loss of the season, 32-21 last night. Washington forced four Philly turnovers and seven penalties. The Commanders were able to run the ball 49 times and dominated the time of possession holding onto the ball twice as long as the Eagles. Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless react to the Commanders win over the Eagles in Week 10.

Washington played like their playoff lives were on the line. The Eagles played like Hey we’ve already won the division.
I think Washington made them play worse than people are giving them credit for. Their defense played well

They definitely caught Philly napping and we (Washington) also came out with more urgency than Philly did. Once they got punched in the mouth early by the run game they had no idea how to respond. Credit Ron Rivera for getting our guys ready to play.
And controlling the time of possession was huge. That's how u keep big time offenses off the field. We went for it on every 3rd and 4th down and kept the sticks moving and almost every time they wound up with either a TD or a FG.
They probably think they already won the division 😂🤣 there's 7 weeks left and they're in the most competitive division in the league with three division games left. The east is still open

Reminds me of when the Ravens lost to the Titans in the playoffs in 2019. They had been averaging 200 yards per game rushing and decided they were a throwing team for the first 3 quarters and failed miserably.

Here’s the thing. While Jalen was dropping back to throw more than he should, he was still hitting his passes. AJ bobbled a dime, Goedert got facemasked and stripped, and Quez got stripped after a dime. Any of those three goes the other way, and the discussion today might be different. But I don’t think Jalen throwing was the issue.
Yeah Jalen hit AJ right in the hands and I had Vietnam flashbacks to the Monday Night Massacre with Vick lol. Hurts played well coming from a Commanders fan, he was held off the field and couldn’t get in a rhythm, same thing we did to Brady and the Bucs last year.
Jalen was on the money. He did great. We lost because we couldn't hold the ball. I don't blame goedert for dropping the ball. That face mask looked painful.

My perspective on the Graham sack at the end of the game was that he was trying to beat Reddick to touch Heineke first so he would’ve been credited with the sack. Looked greedy to me
With divisional opponents the records doesn’t matter as much so this Commanders win is not that big of a surprise but the Eagles still should have won with home field advantage facing a backup QB. The missed penalty happens weekly so no excuse there but I was surprised how well the Commanders ran the ball.
What about the Terry catch where it was clear holding but since he caught it, the announcers say nothing about it while watching the replay.

At half time when the Commanders were up by a score, I made a bet that the Eagles will still win it and I got a good return because Commanders were in the lead. Didn’t expect the Eagles to get locked most of the night.
That was a smart bet. They just couldn't hold onto the ball and had some bad luck with the refs. Hurts was putting the ball on the money, and they were rolling in the 2nd half until fumbles killed their chances. I think almost any other night they would have pulled off the comeback.
To be fair even though we threw it a lot, Jalen was not the reason we lost. He was throwing dimes all game on time and on target. Even that interception, it dropped right into AJ’s hands

i was at the game, and as a eagles fan, our weakness is our run defense. we gotta get that fixed to make a deep
playoff push. the refs were bad, there was two terrible calls and one horrible no call on a turnover. but at the end of the day we played like garbage and deserved to lose, congrats to washington on winning their biggest game since 05

we played terrible, TOP was 40-20 and we still could’ve won the game. we were marching on the goedert fumble no call, and then the next drive we were marching on the quez fumble. they were not goin stop stop us from scoring atleast a field goal. too many mistakes to comeback from tho

Just took a quick look at the game Giants game Shannon was talking about and they lost 20-16 which is crazy that he can remember the score of a game 24 years ago and only be off by 1 point
The Eagles are an overall really good team. But sometimes they get away from themselves... like Miles Sanders who's been amazing for them, and they only run the ball 4 times in the first half in a tight game, and Hurts didn't run too much, and Sanders is amazing at catching the ball in checkdown situations and they didn't do that which they needed more of when AJ Brown got banged up early, and losing Jordan Davis these last couple weeks has shown just how great of a player he is when ur run defense tanks tht far and tht much without ONE GUY. And I said when they drafted him tht it was one of the best picks in the draft and huge for the Eagles to be more of a overall team, not just offensive minded, their defense has been amazing this year, and SLAY is playing like a MONSTER, and so are their young guys, and their Defensive Line has been great, but they do need Jordan Davis back and need him in these big games especially into the Playoffs because then it allows the Eagles the chance to win low scoring ugly games when the offense might struggle, and teams and games are played differently in the playoffs, and their gna need his toughness!!!! But Hurts is for real and he has answered all the questions, he has a really nice arm and accuracy and is really good dual threat, but they have to stay more even keel and run the ball and stay around 50/50 because thts wht helps them make the big plays down field, like the plays AJ Brown been making all year and Smith, and Goedert has been great in the middle of the field and someone Hurts is really comfortable with, and Sanders being the dual threat he is makes him a big playmaker, and their backup RBs can also run AND catch the ball out the backfield, and Philly is a really good all around football team and they play with swagger and play with ALOT OF HEART AND WILL, but with Jordan Davis out and needed back their not as tough of a defense as they are with him. Period. But I think the Eagles needed this loss, so they can be humbled and come back down to Earth and remember they can lose, and can be beaten ANY GIVEN SUNDAY!!!! So I think this loss will do good for them down the stretch and make them play harder and smarter being humbled!!!!
