U make good points on aegon. I thought since they’re making rhynera the protagonist aegons gonna be some Joffrey evil person or sadistic. But honestly most of the harm/ stuff he’s done are kinda not intentional or not meant to be sadistic in his view and he does seem to be a ppl pleaser like in ep 1 of s2 where he tries to give the small folk everything they want so he can be magnanimous. And Otto was holding him back. I actually don’t even see him as this villain like Ramsey or Joffrey or Tywin that we rrly need to overcome or something. He just needs to take his wife and child and brother and all fly to essos and live and drink 😂

Aemond's the real villian, killing luc and trying to murc his own brother. Buddy was so mad ser crispy rolled up because he was about to end aegons reign after like a couple of weeks lol

Aegon can't be controlled, but he can be easily manipulated.
Lord Strong, the Master of whispers, played him like a violin.
But to do that you have to be humble. You can't wound his ego, you have to appeal to the things that matter to him: showing strength.
But Alicent and Otto refuse to do that. I think they could if they wanted to, but they don't want to. It would hurt their own pride.

Also, I think Aegon feels useless because everyone has an important role and nobody respects him.
