The michael jordan of smooth jazz guitar. Saw him in a 150 person venue in 1998 and was BLESSED to have done so! He is amazing. Where has time gone everyone?
Quite possibly the greatest jazz album of all time and definitely that of the smooth jazz format. His future releases were fantastic but paled in comparison. Especially after moving to Warner bros. Records who basically neutered him and his sound for 2 albums
Stormin’ Norman was my neighbor when we attended Musicians Institute. He was so gracious and turned me on to so much music that still influences me today. All his Success couldn’t happen to a better man. Joker
The man who single handily brought back excitement to the Jazz/Funk guitar format..The jazz years were great.. An Honorable mention to the late great Ronny Jordan as well.
God I miss the 90s and the abundance and quality of music like this. I've been a fan of Norman's for over 25 years. I got a chance to see him in Newport Beach California in 1997 and the Jazz Fest. He was amazing. Such a great line up that year including Dave Koz, Dave Benoit, Norman and George Duke. Great music and good times I'll always cherish !!
@@Afrojoeful Nah. Just a Normantic!😁👌🏾 Being a Guitar Centre fan, I've seen interested men (and boys) come in purchasing Slash, Clapton knockoffs thinking the guitar is going to give them that same talent.
He played that ‘Jazz Box’ with the fervor of playing a solid body fender Strat … yet with still some nice ‘roundness ‘ of a Hollow Body Jazz Guitar (By the way …. That’s a GEORGE BENSON Signature Guitar - Ibanez GB10 - Natural - GB10NT)
I hate to correct you-but the year is wrong. I remembered seeing this segment of Jazz Central with Norman Brown. This segment was done in 1996 in which the tunes were from his 1996 album called "Better Days Ahead". I know this because I have all of his albums. You may have it confused with his 1994 release "After The Storm" which included hits like "That's the Way Love Goes" and "Any Love". Just wanted to let you know. It's good to see whole thing-though......
This man helps so many of us through life with his music thank you my brother

My favorite guitar player from my hometown Kansas City with my friend Scooter Powell on the drums, y'all better recognize🥰
