    In addition to the songs being masterfully played, the recording equipment on your end and the playback are my end are so far superior to what was available 50 years ago. This leads to a wonderful listening experience that just wasn't available in the 1970s.
    We saw them live on July, 4th 1976 at Wake Forest University. Unforgettable experience for a 17 year old me.

    I just came across LLB a couple of months ago. They are GREAT! They’ve been on TH-cam 10 + years. My question is why hasn’t this band been on America’s Got Talent, the world’s biggest stage to show their diamond performances!

    This is good cover, the best I've ever heard. But the difficult thing capture is the amp settings Aerosmith had in the studio, there was a very specific crunch to that guitar that even the band never replicated. And the way he is raking those chords includes a subtle amount of pinch harmonics, you can hear it clearly on the last OPEN A note of the main verse riff. And he doesn't go back to the G note every time, just bites the harmonic on the open A. Plus there's a slap back echo on the guitar. It's the "something" that made that song so catchy. And all the big reverb effects, which I suspect were taken, at least in part, from the sonic environment of the studio itself.

  • @plantfeeder6677
    @plantfeeder6677 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thank you for showing me that all these decades later I played the song correctly and many many thanks for isolating Joe Perry's ending guitar solo. That is not heard that clearly on the original record except with very good/expensive audio equipment.

    Had the whole band of Aerosmith in my limo heading from Philly to New York city, back in the early 90s, what a night that was. Oh their plane had issues, and had to make the NY concert the next day. I won't mention the company I worked for but had a lot of famous people in my limo, over the 90s.

  • @HashiAkitaPuppy
    @HashiAkitaPuppy ปีที่แล้ว

    It's videos like this that really highlight what an amazing singer Steven Tyler really is. You can get pretty close to replicating the instrumental parts, but no one can come close to that voice. Also, by playing the opening bass line, the signature of the song with only the thumb, it sounds flat compared to Tom playing it with the fingers. AND, you got a ton of the words wrong.

      Back in 1975, playing in a band was low tech compared to today. Small amps were not miced through a PA. The guitars used 100 watt Marshall stacks, and the bass player had the biggest Fender Bassman set up you could buy. We did not play extremely loud, but you could feel the music drive in the entire room.
