Traxxas F-150 Raptor Speed Runs, XL-5 , Titan 12 Brushed Motor

Doing a Stock Speed Run of these pair of Traxxas Ford Raptors i got recently from my Local Hobby Shop.
Both Vehicles are running the Stock included in the Box Nickel-metal hydride Traxxas battery. Stock ESC is the XL-5. Stock Motor Titan 12 Brushed Motor.
The Red Truck is running the Stock already installed ( 16T Pinion Gear, and 90T Spur Gear.)
The Gray Fox Body is running the included in the box (OPTIONAL 23T Pinion Gear, and 86T Spur Gear.) you have to Install this yourself!!!
Let's see what kind of speed you get stock out of the BOX!

Stock gearing used to be 19 tooth pinion 90 tooth spur now it's like you said 16 tooth pinion Wich in my opinion is painfully slow my older slashes did fine with the 19 tooth and had much better speed and plenty of acceleration decent motor temps on hotter days it would get hot but not to bad try out the 19 tooth pinion.

I’m teaming arrma really but this is cool. Only traxxas I love is the 4tec 2.0 VXL and got the 3.0 preordered already. Good videos man

I've gotta 4tec also. it spends most of it's time on the Shelf. lol!, I didn't have a GPS back then maybe i'll do a Speed run it someday.

You probably goes a brushed motor and a lipo

@@wedbull17 nah was the brushed one on NiMH I did put it on a lipo not much different besides run time

I know right! lol I got Brushless Motor and 120amp ESC coming in the Mail today. That's going in the Red Truck tomorrow. lmao!
