eh I actually think this and nes battletoads are two of the best games of all time. Very good, and very underrated. Terrific music and graphics. Fun is the word.
I strongly recommend Battletoads & Double Dragon for the SNES. It is more of a beat em up, waaay easier and you can choose between 5 characters (also co op).

The large sprites on the low resolution screen, the slower pacing, still though the game is fun to play. But against the other battletoads games in the series, I wouldn't think it would hold a candle to either the NES or Genesis versions.
Good memories with this game. there are actually two endings. I once finished the game without beating the end boss and then you will also get a end movie plus credits.
I loved the BT&DD NES game and still had it up until about 8 years ago when I practically gave the CIB game away at a garage sale I was having. I never beat any of these games as they were absolutely brutal but I still love them. Crazy.
Battletoads Arcade is the most memorable one to me. The combos, finishers, and Enemy variety is excellent. And don't get me started on the increidible soundtrack
Maybe a level select? That would at least make the game a bit more doable rather than getting stuck on a stage and having to replay the entire game again.
I never could get into this one. It has no original ideas and is really just a slower, more claustrophobic remix of the NES original. Between that, the Double Dragon crossover, and the arcade, this is the fourth best in a small franchise at the utmost.
Agree completely. It's an obstacle course game. Extremely zoomed in. Half the levels of the original Battletoads. Lack of personality. I don't like it at all.
