You're making a hell of a good job there, you say you're a novice, granted, fair enough but you're one who has pride in his work, doing it on a driveway and producing quality results.
@@SimpsonsClassics I know what you mean Marc, I'm a novice at decorating, wallpapering and laying carpets but I still do the best I can.....and get miffed when to me it isn't perfect. People only see the mistakes when I point them out but still makes me irrationally frustrated lol.
Graeme W aha yeah I know what you mean I would be useless at wallpapering. I am on with the top bulkhead repair next so sit tight to see how that comes out. It’s been bugging me since I got the car 👍
@@SimpsonsClassics That's an interesting one, I had some thoughts on it but I hope you get a used panel as that'll be easier. I can turn my hand to most things.... although I draw the line at gardening, I HATE gardening haha
That's gonna need a lot off love man for sure a good tip if you are cutting out areas off rust instead off using a marker I find it's best to use masking tape it's a lot quicker and it gives you a nice straight edge and like you I use to drill a million holes in patches to weld through but iv found if you clamp two pieces off scrap metal together and muck about with your welder settings untill you get it to just penetrate through enough it saves time drilling holes in everything and it's a lot tidier job and my top tip if you are doing up any classic car is allways use weld through primer keep it under your pillow buy your wife a can for her birthday post a box full.off it to yourself ask Santa for it 😂😂 but as allways respect to you guys for making these videos I find it hard enough without filming everything I do

Graeme W Cheers I appreciate that I am chuffed with how that repair came out. Just trying to do the best I can with the skills I have. 😬
