I use to play WRC on PS. My fave car was Ford Escort SS Cosworth, Subaru and Citroen. Long time ago. Always love to hear the sound of engine Roar. Love it.
This offered a refreshingly diverse perspective of the sport, not usually seen, by me, when watching the highlights. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Plus, the people seemed warm and welcoming. I will visit Finland one day.
No fancy umbrella's, no show girls etc...WRC is given least importance...actually the car companies learn more from WRC cars about ride n handling ,wheels n tyres, engines & suspension, most importantly Safety features...most of the R&D s from rally cars...
Spectacular rally movie! Love those engine, blow off valve and brakes sound..super! Miss the turbolagg sound..brat tat tat tatat atatata at the start tho... I really felt the atmosphere..situation ..nice! Oo wow...wrc rally is still my favorite autosport 👍
Outstanding!!!! I can imagine. If the FIA has the WRC has a rally in the United States. And the State of Minnesota would be perfect or Ohio. Because the terrain is similar. To Finland and very challenging. With deer, moose, foxes coming out of no where. It would be right up there. With the 24 hours of Daytona, The 12 hours of Sebring. Road America. Laguna Sega.
damn i kinda miss those semi old wrc cars but the cars that they now use are great too. But the one thing that made those 2000-2019 seasons better than nowadays is the amound of teams
What a fantastic video! I felt like I was there. It had a little bit of everything... All the sights and sounds you would experience if you were actually there. Very well done.
Thanks for updating nice videos, but I may need to know which is the most good car to drive in rally from the three categories. 1, Four wheels drive 2, Rear wheels drive 3, Front wheels drive thank you.
@@youtubeviewer1510 Because there is not that many drivers that could beat any team with Tänak in it. They need to invest in developing the car, then be sure there is at least 2 top level drivers in the team for the whole effort to not be bad advertisement to the car company. I think, to bring in more car companies, the rules need to change on what drivers can be hired for one team (based on age, experience or smth).
Excuse me, couple questions. How much time between start of each car? Where would the best explanation of co-driver lingo be found? "Left and 4 Right and ........? Thanks so much. Great Sport, F1 and these Guys and Gals best drivers in the World. Greetings from Colorado Springs Colorado. Christopher
Thanks for your comments. WRC cars start with an interval of 2 minutes. Co-drivers read pacenotes, describing the road. These notes include the distance between each bends, the degree of bends, crests and jumps, surface type and conditions, stones near the road etc.. Some co-drivers describe upcoming corners with a number from 1 through 6 to describe the angle of a corner, others describe it verbally. Like left 1 could be very tight bend, and left 6 can drive at full speed. Opens means when the corner become less tight at the end and Tightens means tightening bend. 100, 150, 200... means the length of the straight road. Don't cut means the driver shouldn't straighten the bend, because there could be stone or something in inner bend.
The first jump is famous "Amazon jump/ Ott Tänak sideways jump in Kakaristo stage. GPS coordinates is about 61.801616, 25.085279 (camera location) , Okskulmantie. Unfortunately, that spot isn´t on 2019 route.
Section from 2,5km to 4,5km is very fast including some jumps. Last 4km (14,5km- 18,7km) is also very high-speed section, going up and down all the time, like a roller coaster. One of the best place is on 16,9km, jump and left-hand curve to downhill, under a power line.
i love rally style racing because it is run on dirt roads , so you slide more than on a paved road , and so it looks more impressive when you are able to keep your car on the road . i like rear wheel drive cars better though , because the rear end slides out farther when you power out of a corner . almost all rally cars are front wheel drive now though because most cars made are front wheel drive
I thought gran turismo was the only source of rally! I see why all the protective equipment. Guess this really looks rallyalistic. Don't remember any Finish rally tracks in gt
Thank you for showing us that building where all the cars are. And it’s is so clean. Great race.
Great video - definitely one of the best about Rally Finland. Thank you!
If TV coverage was this good I would start watching again. Great job and the best rally :)
The WRC is the only event(s) I know of that fans have direct interaction in. ;-)
Watch Isle of Man TT, it's the greatest motorsport event on the planet where fans are literally just inches from the races

This is the year we went. Best Rally I've seen, very fast, great atmosphere, great beer. Great to watch footage that's watchable also, thanks.
A very different angle to view and very well done, the part at the beginning with what has to be a meet up of the coolest guys in sport is so good.
Thank you for the pop up comments. It makes it more interesting.
And this is the best video I’ve seen.

This video displays every aspects of actual rallying. Very well done.

Nagarjun Deepak disliked your comment on accident. But liked it appropriately. I just wanted to make sure you knew.
They roll those cars and keep driving full throttle

Top video, no commentary, let the footage speak for it. 👍💯
Excellent production. I love how you've told the story.

Everyone at the start is hanging out so casual & so quiet you'd think they were about to start a day of fishing.

That is Mitsubishi 11:14

Man they would squish every little piece of power they possibly could out of their 1.6l engines, these engines would not stand very long 😅
I've all ways wanted to see Finland thousand lakes rally

I didn't recognise it from this perspective.
Do you suggest any fast an flowing place in particular in this year Kakaristo?
