Got my v20-1 yesterday. I am really amazed by its brightness and how compact it is with all the other modes . Thanks to this video , I bought my first edc flashlight ❤❤
That's awesome to hear! The V20-1 is a fantastic choice for a first EDC flashlight-bright, compact, and packed with features. I'm so glad the video helped you make the decision. Enjoy your new light, and welcome to the EDC world!
I really like the style of your videos, less than 10 minutes, dynamic editing, original and creative presentation, what a talent! I like it when the technical details of the flashlight are displayed on the screen. Bravo! I look forward to the next video.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really glad you enjoy the style and presentation of my videos. I totally understand-I'm also tired of those 20+ minute flashlight reviews with no real format. That's why I aim to make my reviews informative, short, and to the point. Thanks for watching, and I look forward to bringing you more content soon!
That's awesome! The UV feature will definitely come in handy for those hotel stays. It's such a versatile flashlight-hope it serves you well on all your adventures! Let me know how you like it!
@@eighty.2 I will be in Johor for my short holiday and will use UV to check for any "lovely" business although the hotel is not 3 stars, lol. Mainly, it is to see if the housekeeping is up to standard and hygiene-conscious, or guests as well. I hope this UV amount generated from the torch can highlight these spots quite well (I do not expect much from that given the small size and price point). Even for Singapore hotels (locally born in SG), UV is a necessity to sate my concerns. Your review was what I wanted to "see" (no pun intended as I am deaf) and liked how you presented it. I won't use siren at all, unless I am caught in a dire situation while soloing my hike or trip.
@@dakomon Thank you for sharing your thoughtful and detailed comment! Using UV to check cleanliness is definitely a practical way to ensure peace of mind during your travels! I'm glad my review was helpful and aligned with what you were looking for-your feedback means a lot! Wishing you a safe and enjoyable holiday in Johor-happy exploring!
I'm glad to hear that! UV lights are indeed very useful for a variety of purposes, from detecting stains to checking for counterfeit money. If you're considering getting one, the Boruit V20-1 is a great choice with its additional features. Thanks for watching and good luck :)
Thank you so much! I believe in transparency and want to make sure you get honest information. I'm glad you enjoyed the review and noticed the effort put into the videos. Your support means a lot!
This looks to be a great light with solid features for the price point. Enjoying your video reviews, detail and visually entertaining to stay watching. Hope you keep at it friend.
Thank you! I'm really glad you find the reviews detailed and entertaining. This light does offer great features for the price, and it's always nice to hear that the effort put into the videos is appreciated. I'll definitely keep at it-thanks for the encouragement, friend!
Looks like a pretty solid torch, appreciate the video. This steps over the line into what I consider good, well produced content. Thanks for the giveaway too!
Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad you found the review thoughtful and instructive. I agree, the change to just flashing red is a nice improvement. It makes the flashlight more practical and less distracting.
Another great video; nicely done. I own one Boruit light but no model number is on it. I found it to be durable and reliable. It has three leds with 180 degree swivel head , no siren feature, has multi-colored side lights. It’s part of my edc.
Thanks! Glad you liked the sand test. I feel like anything that moves or rotates can fail at that point, but it's always interesting to see how much they can handle!
Def a good overview of the light, you definitely hit the good pros of the flashlight but I think the siren though maybe in certain situations has the potential of being accidently set off but guess Id need to go hands on to really see. Thanks for the awesome review been back and forth on it.
Thanks for the feedback! You’re right; the siren could definitely be a bit of a wildcard in certain situations. It’s good to consider how it might perform in real-world scenarios. I’m glad the review helped you weigh your options. If you have any more questions or need further info, feel free to ask!
I think I just found my perfect EDC . I just have one question ; If I use it not much , how many months can this flashlight last before its battery gets ruined because I have heard lipo batteries can go bad even if dont use them
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you found your perfect EDC! As for the battery, LiPo batteries generally hold up well even with occasional use. If you’re only using it a few times a month, it should last you several years before showing any signs of degradation, especially if you recharge it every few months to keep it active. LiPo batteries typically don’t go bad from lack of use, but keeping them around 50% charge during longer storage can help maximize their lifespan.

This new version would be my choice, as I have more of a need for a solid UV light performance versus having a dedicated red light mode. Nice review, keep 'em coming!
The UV light performance in this version is definitely impressive and a great choice for those who prioritize that feature. I’ll keep the reviews coming, stay tuned for more! Good luck!
Thanks for your comment! Using a 365 nm UV light for nature observations is fascinating. I'm curious, what kind of animals can you see with the UV light
Thanks for subscribing! I appreciate the support! I’ve placed my order for the V30 as well, but it hasn’t arrived yet. Once I get my hands on it, I’ll be sure to dive into the differences and share a full review! Stay tuned!
Sadly, there's no lock function on these flashlights, which would indeed be a very nice feature to have. Accidental activations, especially of the siren, can be quite annoying.
if possible could you show lights being clipped to a hat brim for a headlamp? that is how I use my lights at work and its a hard requirement for me. the swivel head could be pretty useful.
While it can be clipped to a hat, I wouldn't recommend it. The button setup isn't ideal for that position because pressing the button causes a downward force, changing the flashlight's position. The swivel head is great, but for long-term use, I'd suggest a headband-style light with a side button. Good luck :)
THis is my EDC now... have several and love it.... Even used it whilst cavng!!! Glad too see they dropped the pointless flashing blue, white flashy would be far better as well as a red.. but what we need is a version with the red an UV in the min head(one red,one uv).. then would be basically perfect..... When will you be doing the v6 by the way?? Looks awesome
Totally agree-having UV lights on the side like before would be a great feature! I’ve got a few flashlights lined up for review right now, but I’ll definitely check out the U6 soon. It does look pretty intriguing!
@@eighty.2 I think you miss understood the uv and red comment... I would love too see a version with both a red and a UV in the main head (not on the side)... That way you can have the best of all worlds...
Ah, I see what you mean now. That would be a great addition! Maybe in the V25, we could have Triple LEDs like the V15, a rotating head like the current V20, and dual reds & UVs on the top. Keeping the siren but activating it by pressing both buttons at once would be a nice touch too. If the current V20 were modified to have one red and one UV on the top, it might end up being too weak, in my opinion.
Hello from the US! I'll definitely consider reviewing the Boruit V30 once it's available and I can get my hands on one. Thanks for your support and for trusting me with the review!
Since you have a contact with Boruit ,could you please suggest them to make a premium model of this flashlight ? i contacted them many times before but they never responded . I am not saying that it is bad , i like it alot , i like it to the point where i am really interested in the flashlight and asking for an upgrade and not just buying other similiar flashlights from other brands , because i know the potential of this GREAT EDC FLASHLIGHT and i can't wait to see a well made and thought version of it !!
Of course, I'll pass along your feedback to Boruit. What features would you consider premium? Personally, I'd like to see a better case, possibly aluminum, higher lumens and improved quality control. I've noticed QC improvements recently, with fewer negative comments from the community. For a budget EDC flashlight, it’s great as is. However, if they made a premium version, what do you think the price point should be? The current model is $30, but at $50, it would face a lot more competition.
@@eighty.2 ohh thank you so much for your kindness !! It would definitely need a better UI , aluminum case would be a good upgrade as well since the glow on the dark case is not that necessary, the battery should be replaced with normal normal lithium-ion batteries so when the battery is dead we could just swap them instead of the integrated non replaceable battery (i don’t know if it is possible but 2x10440 would be ideal) , better USB-C charging port , finally higher CRI Leds with a floody beam because with a flashlight like this is not meant to be used as thrower but a simple everyday carry flashlight . Thank you very much again sir
It really is a great light! I’m glad to hear you’re considering getting one. If you have any questions or need more info, feel free to ask! Good luck!!
Congrats! You've been randomly selected to win a Boruit V20 on my TH-cam channel. Please reply with a social media account (no TikTok) where we can arrange shipping. Thanks!
I have V10 and it's perfect! Maybe it would have been good to have more low lumens level on ultralow. And on the side lights. But it's still perfect, and easy to use. 😊
Wow, what a great TH-camr to be reminded of. I used to watch Optimum Tech too, and I love the tiny PCs he builds. Thanks for the kind words and support!
Hi! It's me again. There's a deal where I could buy the Trustfire Mini X3 for $32 or buy the upgraded Boruit v20 for $22, and I've been having a hard time deciding between the two. I couldn't really get myself to buy both as to my limited budget, but I can afford either one. What's your opinion on this matter?
$32 dollars is really good for an X3. The advantages is that it has a better build quality, laser and a better uv light because there's an actual reflector on the LED. The interface is also better. The Boruit is smaller and has the side LEDs.
Congrats! You've been randomly selected to win a Boruit V20 on my TH-cam channel. Please reply with a social media account (no TikTok) where we can arrange shipping. Thanks!
Hi there! Just checking in to make sure you received my previous message about winning the Boruit V20. Please reply with a social media account (no TikTok) where we can coordinate shipping.
Yes, the V20-1 UV light is brighter and more powerful than the V10. With two UV emitters, it provides double the output. When I checked the security strip on a $100 bill, it was noticeably brighter with the V20-1.
I'd go with the Boruit V20-1 if you need the UV light-it’s brighter, has more functions, and offers better value for the price. The Rovyvon A8 is a great option if you prefer something tiny and compact
It depends on what you're looking for! For price, the Boruit V20-1 offers great value. However, if you're focusing on runtime, build quality, and modes, the Trustfire Mini X3 might be the better choice.
I love the new warm white, and more powerful UV will be super useful. But losing the bright red is a bit of a downgrade. In any way, after hours of researching, this is the best EDC flashlight on the market.
Glad you’re enjoying the new warm white and the upgraded UV! I agree, the bright red was a useful feature, and it’s a bummer to see it go. It’s great to hear that you’ve found this to be the best EDC flashlight after all your research. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
What's his stepdown? In the previous version of V20, the stepdown was on all brightness modes except “moon” after about a minute, that is, for example, 130 lumens could turn into ~27 lumens in just a minute.
There's a runtime section for this flashlight: We started the test on turbo (1000 lumens). After 1 minute, the flashlight dimmed down to high (600 lumens). By the 2-hour mark, the flashlight dimmed down to medium (300 lumens). Another dimming occurred at the 3-hour mark (130 lumens - Low). It dimmed down again at 3 hours and 10 minutes (5 lumens - Moon). The flashlight shut off at 3 hours and 13 minutes. I hope this helps clarify the stepdown behavior!"
@@eighty.2 Thanks for the answer, but I wrote that stepdown is observed in all brightness modes except “moon”. Naturally, the turbo will not last long, but what about a stepdown after a minute at high, medium and low brightness? That's exactly what I wanted to know.
Can you tell the boruit that if they can make an upgrade the rotating head and if can give those orange and white difucer can you let them know love from Pakistan 🇵🇰 please ❤❤❤
Thanks for your suggestion! I’ll pass along your feedback about the rotating head and diffusers to Boruit. It’s great to hear from you all the way from Pakistan! I’m curious too-maybe there’ll be a V25 in the future. We’ll have to wait and see!
New V30 is the best one so far. Best beam pattern so far. UV and red lights, power bank option. But is a bit bigger in size but still compact. V20, is best all around. Decent Runtime. V15 is the brightest but best of all it doesn't have the siren feature. But the UV is lackluster on the V15. V30 - amzn.to/3N5mmy3
I'm not from the US, but I just want to comment. If Borut sees this, I hope they upgrade the V15 with a better swivel and include a beacon light mode so I can buy a Boruit myself.
Thanks for your comment! I’ll pass along your suggestion to Boruit about upgrading the V15 with a better swivel and a beacon light mode. It’s always great to hear different preferences-while the V20 might be more popular right now, the V15 still has its fans. You’re definitely not alone in liking it!
Hi how are you I was waiting for you to give away boruits I really need one the place where I live is mostly out of electricity so I really need one❤❤❤
Boruit is awesome budget flashlight comparable to the wuben X3 with a similar rotating head I just with they would have done away with the siren and kept it minimalistic IMHO keep the rotating head, magnetic base, a red or warm light Extras UV for money and insect hunting Get rid of: piece siren colors, and siren
I agree, the siren isn't really my favorite feature either. I’d love to see a more minimalistic design with just the essentials like the rotating head, magnetic base, and maybe some additional colors.
It's a great light, I love this latest iteration, BUT.... some things hold it back from being genuinely great - and they don't cost much to change. The button UI is backwards and counterintuitive - (frankly, the Wurkkos HD01 sets the standard for 2 button multimode). At the very least, make the hold-down functions as such - left button front firing secondary UV/Red, right button main light moonlight or low. Save the siren and turbo for the 3x click functions so they don't get triggered by ACCIDENT, which EVERYONE HATES. I literally destroyed the siren on mine and sealed it with silicone to get rid of the problem. Also, what's wrong with the front firing UV? I own a bunch of V10s with only one UV emitter in the front, and somehow, the V20-1 is weaker with two??? Lastly, the cadence on this light's 'double click' is unbelievably slow - like nursing home slow. It was a problem in the V10, it's a problem here, and it forces you to 'learn' it - which is poor design.
I agree, it's a great light for the price-around $30 or less is hard to beat. The UI is okay but could definitely be improved. The Wurkkos HD01 does have a much nicer 2-button UI, and it would be great if they could implement hold-down or triple-click functions. That siren is a real annoyance; it scares the crap out of me too! Sealing it with silicone sounds like a smart move. Regarding the front UV, it's much improved from the V20s, but it does seem weaker because there are no reflectors to assist with the beam. As for the double-click delay, it's there, but I don't find it too annoying. You hit the mark with all your feedback! Thanks for sharing your insights.

If the current V20 were modified to have one red and one UV on the top, it might end up being too weak, in my opinion.
I hope you review very soon de Boruit v30 and compair it with the v20-1, hello from Honduras, great videos.
@@eighty.2 the price i would pay for the improvements i listed above , anywhere from 50$ to 80$ would be ok with me .
That is a great little light. I had been looking to get one.
Thanks!
@@eighty.2 Thank you! 😀I'll send you that info shortly.
I have V10 and it's perfect! Maybe it would have been good to have more low lumens level on ultralow. And on the side lights. But it's still perfect, and easy to use. 😊
I agree! I still use mine around the house as well, it's still a fantastic light!
Here's a thought for boruit how about adding a power bank feature on the next iteration
That's a great suggestion! A power bank feature would definitely add more versatility, though it might require a larger battery.
this reminds me so much of the pc tech youtuber Optimum. Love the content @EightyTu, keep up the good work!
Wow, what a great TH-camr to be reminded of. I used to watch Optimum Tech too, and I love the tiny PCs he builds. Thanks for the kind words and support!
how bright is the UV light? would be cool if you've included that in the video such as the red one
It's included in the video at 3:51.
Is there a way to disable the siren ?
Unfortunately, there isn't a way to disable the siren.
Thank you. Thank you.
Saben dónde puedo comprar el difusor blanco y naranja? Me acabo de comprar la versión v30 pero me gustaría adquirir esos difusores para la linterna
I got them from the V20 flashlights. I think the only way to get them is by purchasing the V20 flashlights.
I'm looking forward for this giveaway!

I wish we could remove the magnet. Does the V20-1 also come with an orange diffuser?
I think you might be able to remove the magnet, as it could just be glued on. And yes, the V20-1 does come with both the white and orange diffusers.
Is the v20-1 uv light brighter and more powerful than the v10 uv light since it has 2 light emitters instead of 1?
Yes, the V20-1 UV light is brighter and more powerful than the V10. With two UV emitters, it provides double the output. When I checked the security strip on a $100 bill, it was noticeably brighter with the V20-1.
This or the Rovyvon a8?
I'd go with the Boruit V20-1 if you need the UV light-it’s brighter, has more functions, and offers better value for the price. The Rovyvon A8 is a great option if you prefer something tiny and compact
This or the trustfire mini x3?
It depends on what you're looking for! For price, the Boruit V20-1 offers great value. However, if you're focusing on runtime, build quality, and modes, the Trustfire Mini X3 might be the better choice.
As always great vlog informative.
Thanks so much for the kind words, stay tuned for more reviews and updates!
There's a runtime section for this flashlight:
We started the test on turbo (1000 lumens).
I forget to mension light model BORUIT V15
Thanks for your suggestion! I’ll pass along your feedback about the rotating head and diffusers to Boruit. It’s great to hear from you all the way from Pakistan! I’m curious too-maybe there’ll be a V25 in the future. We’ll have to wait and see!
Thanks for the review! I hope I’m entering the giveaway correctly. I subscribed and liked the video for you! Let’s see what happens! 😊
Thanks for supporting the channel and entering the giveaway! I appreciate the subscription and likes. Good luck, and I hope you win!
If it has a laser pointer its so good
I agree, having a laser pointer would definitely make it even better!
I want the warm side light and the red main light 🙄
Than it would be perfect
That would be a great combination!
which is better v15 or v20 1? why?
New V30 is the best one so far.
Best beam pattern so far. UV and red lights, power bank option. But is a bit bigger in size but still compact.
V20, is best all around. Decent Runtime.
V15 is the brightest but best of all it doesn't have the siren feature. But the UV is lackluster on the V15.
V30 - amzn.to/3N5mmy3
Full review and breakdown should be uploaded next week. Also a giveaway for the v30s.
Do you think its worth it?
Yes, I think it's worth it!
@@eighty.2 thank you! Have a blessed day.

Boruit is awesome budget flashlight comparable to the wuben X3 with a similar rotating head
I just with they would have done away with the siren and kept it minimalistic
IMHO keep the rotating head, magnetic base, a red or warm light
Extras UV for money and insect hunting
Get rid of: piece siren colors, and siren

Great in every way but one.... I found the ability to charge, poor! Had to send it back, cannot rely on it.😫
What didn't you like about the charging? Was it too slow? Personally, I find the port too small-it only works with the slimmest USB cables. Would you still like to be entered in the giveaway?
