When you reacted to ‘Still the one’, I told you about being at the airport to meet up with my brother in California to bury our mom. A woman asked if I was okay and I mumbled my mom died and she gave me the best hug I’ve ever had and prayed in my ear and it was Shania.
I will NEVER forget that and not think of that moment when her name is spoken much less her music plays. ❤️

Shania was indeed in full bloom of love. Her marriage and career success were reaching their apex. She was very much in love with husband / producer and it shows in the power of her voice, which makes it all the worse when it all came crashing down on her. But the song reminds us all of both how beautiful love truly is when two people invest in its glorious union. And how fragile it is to keep when not taken care of. We all should indeed have a moment like this when we glow like the sun. It is a goal worth achieving.
She didn't write this song for her husband. But for her parents, who died in a car accident
She recovered from the heartbreak. Her husband was with her best friend...and then Shania married the other womans husband.
I could never see that match. Mutt Lange was not really a prize catch, looks wise. Her friend who he cheatd with was not remotely in Shania's league.

She got a much better looking guy out of the deal! Her ex, Mutt Lange, really is a mutt (woof woof). He was so not worthy of her......not that looks are everything......but clearly he was a lying, cheating jerk too.

I think I remember her saying she wrote this song for her mom and step-dad (who raised her) in an interview. They died in a car crash and she raised her younger siblings.

Saw Shania Twain in concert in the early 2000s --- she's just as great in concert as she is in her videos and on her albums/CDs.
I have seen this woman live. She is amazing I live in uk and she was so good. I loved this song so much I even walked down aisle to it as I married my childhood sweetheart and crush at school. He is my everything. My bridesmaids walked down before me to original version where she talks and says “I do swear that I’ll always be there, I’d give anything and everything and I will always care, through weakness and strength happiness and sorrow, for better for worse I will love you with every beat of my heart”. And her singing is where I came in ❤️ it is the most beautiful song honestly.

Shania, living legend. The Woman In Me (Needs the Man In You), Home Ain't Where His Heart Is Anymore are two of her more country ballads, both beautiful. Forever and For Always and You've Got A Way are great pop-country ballads from her. Love Gets Me Everytime, Any Man of Man are both good.
