Marcus is too humble lol. he kept saying other vocalists were better than him. I'm like bruh, do you not hear yourself? all vocalists have strengths and weaknesses to some degree. you may think another vocalist sounds better than you in one area, but that doesn't mean you're seeing the full picture and how it all comes together. Marcus sounds insane and it's impressive to see his development especially live with his vocals. I still don't quite know how he gets his really high screams like the one he does at the breakdown of immolation of light (in some live footage it sounds even better than the studio version). it's so piercing and just sounds like pure agony, in a good way lol. I've tried practicing it a bit but can't quite get it to sound the same. also. the song he mentions at 1:02:34 is Architects - Nihilist

I don't know if you interview guitarists as well but see if you can get Scott Carstairs on the podcast. Easily my favorite guitar player in metal.
I haven't been since it's a vocal centric podcast, but I am not opposed to one off episodes for other musicians. Scott would be amazing to chat with.
How do I get Marcus to be my teacher 😂
You can hit him up on his instagram about vocal lessons :)
