The fact is Mr Frank Black wrote most of these songs in his early twenties an the voice ages an drops so you can not expect him to be able to scream these songs well anymore.Pixies are my favorite band of all time there so orginal an they have great tunes.listen to there records if you want to hear how cool they sounded in there hey day that said i like there new album it suits the age of his voice now
Ive always liked the pixies (thanks NCAA Football 06 for having Debaser, probably heard that song a trillion times) and I saw them in Tampa during this tour. It wasnt until about a year ago that I actually started truly appreciating how amazing they are. Hopefully I get to see them one more time...
I think it's because he was using the same guitar that he'd broken strings on earlier in the gig, so by the time he got it back in time for Velouria, I don't think the roadie had properly re-strung and tuned it up. You can see Joey quickly adjusting the tuning directly Velouria stops.
have to agree... one of the best bands ever... seen them live 3 times and watched countless concerts on you tube... but they were not on form for this gig at all.... we can all have a bad day at the office
The music they’ve put out since Kim Left is not the best but not horrible, but I think the love shows are great, although it would be so much better with Kim
Paz leaves Kim deal for dead when it comes to vocal sync and harmony sync with Mr black. Kim's not even in the same State let alone league with Paz range & delivery. Current Pixies are in full flight as a live unit.
This show is so good and it makes me so happy to see the Pixies reenergized!!! You guys are killing it, Paz is great, more new music soon please
